Specialties
KC Appraisals specializes in jewellery appraisals that are well researched, detail to attention is paid, with photos and a seal. These appraisals are used for insurance, probate, divorce and resale as examples of where appraisals are needed.
The details that set KC Appraisals apart is that I am local to the Guelph area, with the credentials of a Toronto lab. KC Appraisals is approved by the Canadian Jewellers Association as an Certified Appraiser Proffessional. I also am the first Canadian firm to become a member of the international organization, The Association of Independent Jewellery Valuers.
This gives me contacts around the world for the information needed to stay current in the field of gemmology as well as valuation science. KC Appraisals is dedicated to keeping informed about the industry so that I may best serve my clients.
History
Established in 2002.
KC Appraisals started after a lot of years in the gemmology field teaching other people how to become gemmologists. After taking a number of diamond grading courses and a couple of appraisng courses as well as refresher courses KC Appraisals offered their services to the Guelph area. At first it was a part time business but has steadily grown into a full time business with new clients and referrals finding us. We have customers both private and with in the trade who are now repeatedly using our services instead of the expense of going to Toronto.
