Atlantic Playland

Keep your expectations low. The equipment and attractions are out of date and show their age. Some parts of the park are in disrepair. Many attractions were not even staffed with an attendant. I remember thinking this place was sub-​par when I was a child. It doesn’t appear to have changed with time.

A total ripoff. Took our grandson there. He measured just at the 36 inches so we were told we should buy the $ 24 bracelet for between 36 and 48 inches so he could go on rides alone. He could not go on most of the rides alone and for an adult to go on a Two minute bumper boat ride it was over $ 6!!! It is old dirty and the rides seem unsafe. With the outrageous amount they charge customers they should invest in some upgrades and safer rides. My advice make a full day of it and go to Upper Clements or Crystal Palace. Rude staff in the greasy snack bar too!

Don’t have high hopes. Seriously. Lower your expectations.
Atlantic Playland can be a ton of fun but you have to know going in there’s not a lot here.
Here’s what I recommend for adults:
* Batting cages: a wide variety of pitches. I used this as batting practice for the last two summers. Downside = not included in activity pass.
* Bumper cars: okay, not great.
* Bumper boats: good! Depending on who else is there, it can be great.
* Go carts: Fun times!
* Mini-​golf: Looks like fun.
They also have a waterslide. Notice the use of the singular. One. There are a few other attractions but they are all geared towards younger children.
Don’t expect an amazing experience and you’ll end up having a great time!

Atlantic Playland is just outside of Halifax on the Lucasville Road, that would take you about ½ to get there.
I can remember going here as a kid and loving the go-​karts. They also have a water slide and if I remember correctly a video game section.
This is not the best of parks, but if your kids are young or you want to rip around a track, it is fun.
