This review is for when they moved to Salter st. They no longer serve Sushi and do a traditional buffet style now. Despite not serving sushi, I called ahead and asked on the phone if they do. They assured me that they do serve sushi with a menu similar to the Sushi Jet location. Not even close. It’s a mix of strangely out of place western food such as fries, onion rings, and roast beef with some asian dishes. Despite going at noon on a Friday, the place was nearly empty. Our waitress seemed confused and did not refill our drinks once or check up on us. The food despite us being there at noon sharp was luke-warm at best, with the best dishes such as the roast beef left empty as we left. The fried food which made up a large chunk of the buffet was greasy and barely warm. Most of the food was under seasoned and lacked flavor. My bill with a pop at lunch was $ 20, which was very overpriced for what it is and how small the buffet is. I really cannot understand the decision to move the highly succesful and always busy Sushi Jet to a smaller location, and taking the prime space and filling it with a tiny buffet with mediocre food. I really cannot see this place lasting.

New restaurant on spring garden! The décor of restaurant was nice and classy but the food was affordable. Our waitress was great and service was quick although we were the only ones there. The food was delicious and the portions were large. I didn’t try any of the Thai food but we all had sushi and loved it. I will definitely be going back.

In Spring is a new restaurant on Spring Garden Road that offers Asian fare, they’ve replaced what once was Estia Restaurant. The menu is quite large and diverse. While the menu is a bit confusing for a vegan, there are a few things that do work. They offer a few veggie sushi rolls, we got the AC roll, which is avocado and cucumber. It was delicious and on par with other sushi places I have been. They also have a tofu teriyaki dish which comes with miso soup, salad, rice, veggies and tofu with a teriyaki sauce. It is a lot of food at an even better price of 8.99. We skipped the miso soup since we aren’t a fan but I would double check whether it is vegan as some have fish sauce. The salad comes with a mayo dressing which is also not vegan but they just added some oil, black pepper and soy sauce and it was delicious just like that. The food was truly delicious and you can’t beat the price. Our server was also very sweet and accommodating with our needs.

It’s a new restaurant, I had some tai food and sushi there, it’s really good, nice environment, service is very good. They also have some chef special for free, it’s delicious. I love their black sesame ice cream!
