Lindt Chocolate Shop – Halifax

Who’s not a fan of a chocolate store? It’s just pure sugar heaven bliss in here. Defiantly overwhelming when you first walk in. I’m not sure if this is common practice, or just a special holiday treat but when you’re greeted at the door they hand you a chocolate straight away. I like this. It’s pretty smart, because as honest a person as I am, I would eat a chocolate. Maybe two. There are ten billion Lindt balls in bins just begging to be eaten. I’m not a strong enough person to resist that.
The store is full of beautifully wrapped and packaged chocolate. Lots of different types of chocolate to buy in various ways such as gift packages, boxes, and by weight. This is the method I picked. I thought I would get in less trouble. You grab a bag and fill it with whatever you want, and they weight it at the check out. Much like a bulk barn, except it’s like $ 60 a kg. There are so many different flavours of chocolate they don’t sell in regular stores. Flavours like coconut, lime, strawberries and cream you get the idea. All I can say is good luck when you step in here… you’re going to need it!

Awesome place to have a sugar OD, I will say this, unless your visiting on a day which has a sale/​celebration BE PREPARED TO MAKE YOUR WALLET BLEED.
Such lovely BIG place and your always greeted and given a sample, what I like is the diversity in the chocolate balls and specialty chocolates.
Also this place can open up windows to you if your a baker/​bake for fun since this place has perfect different tasting components for decorations on cupcakes, cakes or if you wanna melt/​scrap the insides and use that.
If your coming by bus, Take the Lacewood terminal bus, it’s besides a weight watchers [which is hilariously ironic…]. Also while your there, sign up for their e-​mail newsletter on sales
P.S unless your there on a day of a sale/​special or you just want just a small ammount of stuff your wallet WILL bleed, so keep in mind it can get pricey quickly

I am terribly sorry. I have opened and am eating the box of Assorted Lindt Creation Desserts that I bought to give to you. I’m sorry. I was unable to drive for a few days, and all it did was sit on the floor in its thick blue plastic bag and taunt me.
«Shannon, come try me. I have tiny little caramel eclairs, and tirimisu, and chcolate brownies… It’s the holidays, live a little. Besides, I was SO affordable that you can easily buy a second for the baristas. And you can always share me with your roomies, win some points there! C’mon, rip that plastic… inhale the chocolate…»

And it was 35% off, so really, I should buy two more. It’s more economical that way.

This place is class on a stick!
First went in this past Valentine’s Day to get hubs some chocolate and was overwhelmed by the choices this store has. The layout was awesome and really one of the classiest stores I have ever seen in HRM. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. My daughter is already counting the days until she can get a part-​time job and we are also counting the days until her staff discount! Awesome place.
PS — I do feel for the Weight Watcher folks — Flip Burger on one side and Lindt on the other — whoooboy!

I wandered in here last night with a friend fully expecting to walk out significantly poorer.
I mean, its a store filled with nothing but chocolate and yumminess. How could I walk in and not coming with something. Or several somethings.
But I was surprised when I walked out several chocolately treats heavier and still with some cash in my wallet.
What we experienced of the service seemed fine. One girl in particular was quite chipper and seemed in to her job.
Overall, a good first experience. I can seem me going back again and again and again…

Some of their seasonal chocolate is now on sale at 65% off; for example, you can get a small bag of Irish Cream chocolate balls or Almond chocolate balls for a little over $ 2. There are many other chocolate delights to ponder as well. Nice looking store. A friendly girl gave me a free Snowman chocolate ball to sample.

Fact: term papers, presentations, and class readings are better with chocolate. I had a half price TeamBuy plus a cool website coupon so we went down to the Lindt store for a hull. The store is a shinny shrine to chocolate and it’s tidy and well organized. They have all the Lindt products you never knew you needed and a small Ghirardelli section. The clerks were very helpful and gave out Lindor samples but trying to figure out the price of things is a mind bender. Regular prices are marked on the shelf but there are marked and unmarked sales too. The cashier was friendly but it seems like they just try to remember the sale pricing and that’s not a great idea.
Like everyone else said, it’s not outlet pricing because you can get the bars for less when they’re on sale at the grocery store. I got a cool deal with the TeamBuy but the store’s a novelty and I don’t need to go back.

The location itself is funny right next door to weight watchers. The bottom line here is when you get to the cash the price the shelf says means nothing. All these sales and two for one deals are hogwash. We ended up spending about 10 mins at the cash explaining what we have and what the signs say. The sales person still had everything priced wrong. Some items for less then the sale some for more so I guess it all worked out? The other sales person went around the store taking signs down becuase we picked up on the mistakes at cash? Anyway I would not go back here. It is simply not worth the trouble.
Ps somthing funny. Bars on sale on one side of the store but on the other side the same bars are not marked on sale so you get a sale depending on what side of the store you shop at the front no at the back yes same product? What a mess of a place. + the loose candy is all priced wrong at cash like everything else. I was here last week and it came to more with tax then expected from reading the signs but I let it go. My visit here tonight to pick up a larger order was clearly a mess. Never again.

This weekend the chocolate was on sale for 50% off. Talked to a nice lady waiting in line, for about 20 minutes, until we were let inside. A saleslady was handing out free sample chocolate balls when we got to the door.
The location of the Clayton Park Lindt store is in the same block as Cora’s and Flipburger, at Lacewood and Dunbrack, opposite the Sobeys store. The store is very pretty inside and there are lots of different chocolate to choose from. I didn’t realize that Lindt came in so many varieties. They also sell Ghirardelli chocolates and cocoa near the front, from the US.
The chocolate seemed a little expensive, I thought to myself. Also quite a few shelves did not have price tags, which means you have to ask for this information. I find this makes price checking more confusing.
About 80 people were patiently waiting in line to pay at the one cashier. The store was extremely busy on their Grand Opening weekend.

I love chocolate, not just a little love, but LOVE (I’d write it bigger if I could)

What i don’t love and why this is only three stars, is the price.
An outlet is supposed to be cheaper than the normal price isn’t it?
Why can I buy your bags of chocolate balls at Walmart/​Lawtons for cheaper than the LINDT outlet store?
Granted there is a better selection here, and they have chocolates i didn’t know they had! But come on! $ 6 something for 10 chocolates? Your not that good.
BUT they did have some very nice gift boxes that were down right reasonable priced.
I’ll be dropping in from time to time… mostly for the free sample!

This Lindt store opened September 22^nd but today was my first time here. One word to describe the store: Magical!
The interior is very bright and elegant. It’s nicely laid out and clean looking, in an organized way. While not a huge store, it is pretty sizable when you take into account the only thing they sell are their brand of chocolates. Then you start to realize, there are a LOT of different types of Lindt chocolate. With or without nuts, dark, milk, white, everything in between, variety packages, large, small. All the chocolate. Anything you’ve ever seen in the drug stores they have.
Upon our entry today, we were immediately greeted by a staff-​member who was carrying a basket of the small individually wrapped chocolates with the creamy filling and offered us a sample. It’s a beautifully wrapped trick because Lindt really isn’t the kind of chocolate you can have just one of… believe you me. You have one and you want them all. My thoughts while in this store — if I won the lottery, I would buy ALL the chocolate! Just give me the store.
There is something for everyone who’s looking for chocolate to any degree. They do sell the small individual-​sized chocolates in a huge organized section in the middle of the store so you can pick and choose which ones you want for a small bag’s worth. There are regular bar-​sizes bars, larger bar-​sized bars, huge chunk-​sized bars and then bigger boxes of chocolates, teddy bear-​shaped chocolates, seasonal chocolates. It’s all here!
I’m just lucky that I don’t live in Clayton Park or that this store isn’t in my neighbourhood because I might just have to bring a couch and a movie and rent out some space on their floor.

The fact that there’s a weight watchers sitting in btw Lindt and Flip burger still makes me want to laugh thinking of the temptations that fellow wieght-​watcher folks would have to fend-​off before stepping through that door of theirs. But having said all that, I am very please to say that having Lindt Outlet is a blessing in disguise for Halifax. The variety available in store is amazing! Of course let’s not forget the price. You could get most of the things in there for half the price of what it would be in other stores. The wife and I spend ½ hr looking around the tonnes of chocolates that were stack up the shelves. And the staff are friendly as ever. They even gave a customary free-​sample for visitors. Can’t wait for the official opening on 29^th of Nov 2012 (so I heard).

This is a very beautiful store, perfectly displayed with very friendly staff. However, I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a «real» outlet. It is more like Tommy Hilfiger in Dartmouth Crossing, where the regular prices are normal price and then you have to go around and look for the discounts.
The one thing i thought would be cheap would be their signature chocolate balls. But at 8 pc/4.99 and 5.99, I would rather try my luck at a grocery store sale or Walmart.
We did keep looking and found a really good deal on a box of the chocolate balls, 10 pcs for 2.80– this was a mark down sale. So better than buying them in bulk. But I think you really have to look to find the deals.
Store was beautiful and chocolate was delicious, but unlike Maine where they have a true outlet, this disapponts.

It’s hard to walk into a place like Lindt and not go a little crazy when you’re a chocoholic. On my first visit here I bought some boxes and bags of various sweets for my co-​workers for Christmas … and of course a box for me.
First impression upon walking in: holy chocolates, Batman! The store is bright and beautiful with boxes, bags and individual chocolates perfectly arranged. I just didn’t know where to look first. Oh yes, at the lovely sales clerk offering us samples. :-D
Prices are good and selection can’t be beat. There is a chocolate for every preference. Some of the gift baskets are a bit pricey, but considering how much is in them? They’re worth it.

Definitely gonna be broke pretty soon — like right now soon.
Cool store on the inside, lots and lots of chocolate and chocolate accessories. The prices are definitely better than other stores (maybe not Walmart) — and they have a couple BOGO sales as well as promos when you buy more than 2 or 3, etc.
As soon as you walk in a staff member offers you some complimentary chocolate!
The only thing is that they wouldn’t let me take any pics of the inside — apparently against corporate policy. Oh well, I’ll see if I can sneak some in.
And those that aren’t sure where this is — it’s in that strip mall where Blockbuster used to be — in between Cora’s & Flipburger.
