This year, I decided to participate in Chicago’s Skyline Plunge which is a fundraiser for the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago(RHAMC). The event was basically to repel down the side of the 27 story Wit hotel in downtown Chicago. The event was hosted by RHAMC but worked side by side with Over the Edge employees to train the participants on how to repel down the building safely. I found the Over the Edge employees to be very friendly, patient, and informative of the repelling experience. They made sure to ask us questions in case of an emergency just so they knew for sure we were listening!!!(Which is good for me because I have A.D.D-at least thats what my friends say!) You could tell they all had a lot of roping experience. One set of staff got me securely into my repel gear and the second set of staff double checked my repel gear was on securely. Thanks to Mike, Art, and Jim from Over the Edge for getting me down safely!!! The experience was a blast!!! I will never forget it!
