Saege Bistro has been on the culinary creative edge since opening in 2005, with a team of professionals that can ensure your dining experience surpasses all expectations. A restaurant owned under the Simensen family umbrella, along with Scanway Catering, is built on a passion for food, love for great dining and an expertise for service. Saege has always been a full sensory experience with a trickling waterfall, stone fireplace, bright solarium and contemporary flora that surrounds you. Unni and Geir S.
Business Owner
This mother and son team can do it all. In addition to running a première catering company for over 30 years, Geir and Unni have created a bistro experience like nothing else in Halifax. This duo shares a passion for fresh and local ingredients that is aparent in every dish they create. In the Simensen house food has always been celebrated and shared with family and friends. Growing up Geir was surrounded by amazing ingredients that would come together to form delicious meals; it’s no wonder he chose a career in the culinary arts and later joined his mother to provide Halifax with an outstanding food experience.
