The head shoppe is my new go to place great and fast service with lots of promotions I would recommend this place to anybody

I had a bad experience at this salon and my son. We will never go to this place.

The Head Shoppe made me feel comfortable, the staff was friendly, with great service. My stylist Lisa W. did my hair much better than anticipated. I first went in with a pretty bad haircut and horrible roots/​dye job, and she completely fixed and improved it. She listened and took her time with me and fully understood what I was looking for. Since my first appointment I have returned and will continue to for my stay in Halifax.

Update: Just wanted to add that The Head Shoppe made absolutely no attempt to contact me. The comment from The Head Shoppe rep below is BS.
It was Victoria Day and i needed a haircut for an interview. All the barber shops were closed so I ended up at the Head Shoppe. The hair cut that I recieved here was absolutely the WORST haircut I have ever had. The store was really nice and the people that worked there were nice but unfortunately the person that cut my hair did a terrible job. I will never go to the Head Shoppe for a haircut again.

I love the Head shoppe. It seems that any location I have been to has had excellent stylists and a really nice atmosphere.
I go most often to the location at Dutch Village Road. Bonnie is a master and she has helped me grow my crappy hair out before and when she did, she charged me for a «bang trim»
After a bad bowl cut… I went back to Bonnie to grow it out. She’s still as good as ever-​a true master.
Now she charges me the full price, even if it’s just a trim and I have short hair which is too bad. I’ll keep seeing her because she is good…

I started going to the Head Shoppe in the Halifax Shopping Centre about a year ago, and I love it there! I was very nervous to find a new hair salon as I have had a few bad experiences in the past and am on a budget. I needed to find a place that fit my budget and wouldn’t send me on my way with chunks of hair missing.
I find all of the staff at the Head Shoppe are very friendly but Courtney is the stylist I always see there and she is great! She is very friendly, she listens to what I am looking for and gives her advice. She always makes sure I’m happy with my cut before I leave.
Their prices are very reasonable, it usually costs me about $ 30 for a cut and style which is great! They have recently been moved upstairs in Halifax Shopping Centre and I love their new location! The atmosphere is great, they have a lot more space and it’s very modern and polished. I always have a good experience when I go there!

Ok… gotta love hair salons. What girl doesn’t? The new location in the mall is great, and the make over is a noticeable improvement. Much larger space and more functionality for sure.
BUT here us my beef… Wow to the Esthetics team!!! Maybe a little more training for some staff members? Also they need to HEAR what the customer/​client is asking for. My daughter went in for an eyebrow wax, has had it done many times (not in this shop), so knows what she wants and how to communicate that. Well. Except for today. I know 8 year olds with better listening skills and better sculpting skills as well. My dear daughter looks to have had two different people working on her at once. Badly shaped, crooked and just not a great job at all. In the end my daughter says to eyebrow chick…” Well they ARE cleaned up but…” «that’s what I was going for «says eyebrow chick.
I wonder if she used hedge clippers??? Not only are her brows shapeless, but they are far from cleaned up… and to add insult to injury, her face, from forhead to cheek bones was so swollen and red!!!
I’m sure the stylists have more training, but I’d search for a back alley Esthetics chick, or possibly Edward Scissor hands before trusting my brows to this place!!!

This Head Shoppe, in Halifax Shopping Centre, has recently been moved upstairs and had a FANTASTIC make-​over! Their new store is much larger than the last with more room for everything from retail, to sitting area, to hair to nails.
I’ve been going to this salon on and off for about 3 years, but the last year I’ve been going here exclusively. And it’s due to a staff member: Nicole. Nicole is an amazing young stylist, and friend, who works hard to make sure her clients are not only happy with their cut but enjoy an excellent experience while with her. She’s great for a conversation, has a great sense of humour and a host of ideas when your do’ need a pick-​me-​up.
All the other staff members I’ve met at this salon is kind, professional, well-​trained and enthusiastic about their job. It’s a great atmosphere with knowledgeable staff. I always have a wonderful experience at this Head Shoppe.
