Consistantly the worst customer service of any store I have ever shopped at. Today the staff easily out numbered customers but still after 45 minutes in the store, mostly in the same isle, not one employee offered to assist me. I did make a couple attempts to ask for help but even when I approached the employees, who were congregated in several small groups, none would pause thier personal conversations to even acknowledge me. I will definitely never shop at this location again and will do my best to avoid all Home Depot stores in the future.

I’ll start by saying I’m not a big box store fan. I despise the predatory business model of WalMart and will never set foot in Target. Now that’s out of the way, I’ll waffle and admit I shop at FutureShop and Best Buy and also Home Depot. Are they big box stores? Yes I think so. Anyway, I have been a hardware and tool shopper for many, many years and have been to every store going, and my go-to store is Home Depot on Lacewood. Every single time I go there there’s something positive. Whether prices, staff knowledgability, selection, layout and lighting, clean washrooms, free WiFi, or the incredible ease with which you can return things it wins over other stores every time. I just don’t even think about going anywhere else. An all round great store.

Mike and I rent an apartment, so we will never find ourselves in need of 90% of the things sold in Home Depot. That said, it’s an okay store. If you need help you can usually find someone on the floor. They have a great selection of just about everything, including appliances. And door hooks. :-D Speaking of door hooks, the good thing about HD is simply wandering through the aisles can provide you with home-renovation ideas, even when you’re not sure what you’re looking for. Did you know door hooks can be used to hold your curtain rods? Prices are okay here(it can be a bit pricey depending on the item) and staff have always been friendly and helpful.

I love a good hardware store, tools, lumber, plumbing, paint, etc. you get the picture! This place is huge, and comes filled to the brim with exciting and useful tools, lumber, pl… moving on! Any and every thing you could/want for an at home project can be found here, on your own or with the amazing staff. They always seem to know where everything is and how it works, just wonderful. The lumber is stored indoors which is a nice treat compared to my local lumber yard. Dry, clean lumber so much better to pick through and use! I love this home depot and will be back, and soon!

I recently visited Home Depot on a quick trip to have a key cut. Because Home Depot is such a large space, you have a walk quite a distance to find just about anything. Luckily, there are staff on hand to guide you where you want to go, but as soon as I was directed to the key cut station, I was alone again, and without a staff member to assist me. I was able to flag someone down, and they did a good job of cutting a key. At the cash, the staffers seemed inattentive, disinterested in customers, and more concerned with socializing with their colleagues. I’m all for a positive work environment, but the customer comes first, not social hour. I won’t be returning unless there is a really good deal in the flyer that I just can’t miss out on.

jesus rollerblading christ! They have food here?! It’s like a hockey rink food but it’s OK. I just feel like I should buy a plank of wood instead of just eating here, PROTIP: Don’t wear an orange shirt to home depot and wonder why someone is following you as if they want to ask you a question… jerk!

Home Depot is a great place to go if you’re looking for a particular item that is in their flyer, other than that, I find it rather expensive! I went into this particular location last week because I was looking for taps for my kitchen sink. I found the staff to be rude and not helpful. I didn’t really know what I was looking for and nobody asked me if I needed help. I found the kitchen tap isle, but walked out without purchasing anything. Before I went to Home Depot, I went to Rona for an idea on the prices. After glancing at the selection and prices at Home Depot, I decided to go back to Rona!
