Arrival Inn

Could it be the location for the next Hotel Hell episode? Seriously, I slept here one night before the Hamilton 30 km run race. The room was functional and clean but the furniture and bathroom accommodation needed a serious update. Inside the corridor leading to our room, there was a strange smell that I cannot really describe and the old carpets need to be change. The staff forgot to tell us about the Wifi connection. Once in the room, we had to go back to the desk to ask for the access code. Anyway, the signal was too weak to work well inside our room. The hotel restaurant was closed for unknown reason.
Pros: The location was great, just a few minutes walk to downtown and a short walk to the bars and restaurants. For the Hamilton 30 km, it is less then 5 minutes walk to the starting line. The rate was a little high for the room quality but not unreasonable. The staff is nice and friendly.
This hotel is falling apart and the owner seams do to nothing about it. Go there only if everything else is booked downtown or too expensive for your budget.
