History

Established in 1993.

We have been serving Hamilton area collectors and fans since July 1993. In that time we’ve been in 3 locations along Main Street East. We’ve been in our current location since 1999.

Gary’s first comic was Marvel Comic’s Avengers #32 Sons of the Serpent from September 1966. He collected and read comics us until 1976. Then he went on a comic hiatus until 1992 when he saw Spiderman #26 in a comic shop and bought it because of the hologram cover. After reading it he started collecting… Hard Core! Spending $ 160 a week on funnybooks. After his favorite store closed down in early 1993 he knew no other store was worthy of accepting his hard earned cash and decided to start his own business, Burdin’s Comics was born!
