My 4 star review refers to Mattson & Co.‘s brunch which I have had three times since they opened! The brunch menu is good and very reasonably priced with a few great vegetarian options. I have been there with one person, with three others, and with a group of seven. The service could definitely be improved(but I will cut them some slack since it is a new restaurant) and on two out of my three visits they got one of the brunch orders wrong — on the occasion the owner/manager was involved he went and corrected the mistake but when it was just the waitress she did not offer to change it at first and seemed intent on waiting for my friend to force the issue or accept the order as it was(which is what my friend chose to do). That said, every time I have been there every one of my friends has loved the food and the reasonable pricing! So, I give brunch at Mattson & Co. 4 stars with a hope that service will improve a little bit!

There seems to be a strict two-hour window kind of thing going on for each table. So they’ll rush you to choose and ignore the timing in between courses just to make that! So there are points that waiters might actually be pushy which is not something anyone is looking for when dining at a place like this. The starter and main courses were decent. The wine collection was appealing, even though there were a couple of items they didn’t have and they didn’t see the need to mention unless they were asked for! The live music on Friday night was one of attractions of the place. However the service was rather repulsive. I had made a reservation and when arriving 10 minutes late we had to wait a while to get seated because despite calling them and notifying them in advance, they had given our table away!
