One Duke

Watered down drinks –hamburger was nothing more than a big hunk of meat –pretty sure «special sauce «was ranch dressing from a bottle –boring, overpriced won’t be back. Person with me had pizza-​commented that it was boring/​needed spice

This place is hit or miss. one server is really nice, helpful, and patient. and did not smoke in fromt of customers.
The rest were Rude. not helpful, and impatient. They also smoke and swear in front of guests.
When a server is a pro they make the meal enjoyable. A rude or obnoxious server kind of ruins the whole experience.
this place needs to be more consistant.

Is this a pub? is this an Italian restaurant?
We went for a friend’s birthday & I was really expecting a pub… It was a pleasant surprise when I looked at the menu. They had a beat salad that big enough to share and I had the pizza as my main. Everyone seemed pleased with their selections.
My friend’s veal sandwich was delayed so the waitress comped it which was nice. (The restaurant was super packed and we had a big party so I guess it was forgotten?)
It was affordable, I guess we are used to Toronto prices maybe?

Super fresh and tasty Oysters. Medium flavor, a little bit salty, love it! We two had 16 oysters and still wanted more. Oysters here are not worse than the pro Ouster bars. The crab cake is also a good choice

I’d never heard of this place but a friend suggested we try it out for lunch since it was nice and close. We went at around noon on the Saturday of a long weekend, so weren’t too surprised that it was quite empty. It filled up a bit more while we were there. The waitress was pleasant enough and we took a table on the patio which offered a fair bit of seating and plenty of welcomed shade. I ordered the bowl full of chili and my friend ordered the smoked salmon sandwich with side salad. Our food came in good time, and although the chili wasn’t exactly how I prefer it (slightly too sweet) it was a large bowl (I couldn’t even finish half), served with a substantial amount of nachos — it also had some kick to it and was quite well done. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich, which I sampled and even though I’m not a salmon fan I enjoyed it with the combination of cream cheese and fresh cucumbers. I saw several other people with the smoked salmon sandwiches so it could be a popular menu item at One Duke. Average prices, good service, quality food — I look forward to trying it again.
