Went here for lunch with work crew. Place was empty for the most part on a Friday for lunch, but apparently newer location. You get a batch of homemade spicy potato chips before you start which is a bonus. I ordered the chicken and waffles which was decent, but nothing outstanding. Waffles are very filling and there were 3 – 4 big pieces and smaller amounts of chicken. I noticed they cut into the chicken pieces to see they were cooked, and threw it back in the fryer which really shouldn’t happen, but whatever. Probably won’t go back as I am sure there is better out there.

Friends and I heard about this place from the TV show You Gotta Eat Here. Do yourself a favor and don’t. The portions were small and the food was cold. And as nice as the wait staff was… it wasn’t enough to make me go back. Not only will I not recommend this place but I will go so far as to tell people not to waste their time or money.

We’ve heard good things about Staxx(which was recently featured in «You Gotta Eat Here»). To our dismay, the brunch was a quite a disappointment. To the credit of the employees, the restaurant was very busy and one younger gentlemen was left to fend off all of the angry patrons(who were kept waiting for their food for quite some time). We ordered a standard breakfast with a side of waffles(how can you not order waffles at a Waffle House?!). The breakfast took 1.5 hours to be served and the waffles were quite a disappointment … Comparable to an Eggo(or slightly worse). The food was luke warm and the toast was quite soggy. We arrived around 12:30pm and left well was 2:30 pm — by this time the dining room was full of angry people who weren’t being served or were sending food back because of mistakes, etc. I’m really not sure what happened and I am regretful to write such a negative review but I think transparency is key in improving service. If you’re going to operate on an all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch platform you should be prepared for waves of customers. To the staff at Staxx(with the exception of the younger gentlmen — the owner’s brother?), please consider being a bit more friendly if you know the food is taking an exceptional amount of time. A frequent top-up of coffee or water would have made our stay much more enjoyable.
