The 3 bucks breakfast is unbeatable! It contains a 6 inch egg sandwich and a coffee, which makes me refresh everyday. Love it, it opens 24 hours

As a Mac alum, I bought more than a few sandwiches — delicious, delicious sandwiches — here over the years, at just about any time of day you can imagine. For the longest time, the most prolific«sandwich artist» at this location was a guy we came to know and love as Stoned Subway Guy because, well, he always looked stoned. He was our favourite because in addition to his apparent constant inebriation, he made one hell of a sandwich. Veggie, steak and cheese, grilled chicken, all were made quickly, with lots of toppings and — seemingly rare in the world of sandwich artistry — neatly. I don’t know how he did it, but that glorious bastard’s subs were more cohesive than anyone else who worked there, and indeed better than most sandwich joints I’ve frequented since. That’s not to demean any of the other employees at that location — Stoned Subway Guy was just the one I remember most. I can’t recall ever getting a bad sandwich there, and the ingredients were always fresh. Lineups could be long, and sometimes the staff hides out back meaning it takes a while to get your order in. Seating area isn’t huge, but given the location you’re probably heading back to campus with your order anyways. Overall though it’s a solid alternative to eating on campus, AND they take credit card and Interac, unlike just about anything within the confines of the university. I haven’t been there in a while, and haven’t seen Stoned Subway Guy in longer, but I like to think he’s still there, making tasty sandwiches and not totally realizing what year it is. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m suddenly rather hungry.
