Absolutely Amazing. Great food. Great beer. Great ambiance. Very friendly and unpretentious Irish Pub. Kilkenny on-tab!

Belle ambiance, musique bien, service courtois souriant, MAIS Nourriture iinfecte, trop grasse, frites molles… Graisse de mauvaise qualité trop rarement changée. Résultat, deux jours pour digérer mes calemars et mon fish and chips de samedi 21 décembre.

You are greeted with a friendly smile and jolly welcome as you enter Cunningham’s. The old irish pub is small and cosy with many large tv screens. The first floor is more cosy and is good space for carousing; the second floor is more spacious with bright windows, a fireplace going full blast and a small space that looks like it may be for live performances or karaōke!!! The pub food is hearty with generous portions. Everything comes out hot. Here is a synopsis of what we had: –beef quesadilla: overflowing and stuffed with cheese –maple salmon special: cooked ever so nicely and came with a healthy serving of veggies(peppers and onion), and rice –beef and kidney pie: not many kidneys but very flavourful and came with a side of mashed potatoes(you even had the choice of plain, garlic, bacon and jalenpos, or you could have fries) –spinach salad: everything was fresh, and was overflowing with toppings including goat cheese, eggs, bacon, etc. if we had more spinach, everyone at the table would of been able to have their own salad. Other menu items include poutine, fish and chips, burgers, and pizzas. Their beer selection was standard. There was no special microbrews or local beers but it’s a pub and beer is beer. You can get sleeman, guiness, harp, Kilkenny, and Newcastle. If you are in the beautiful Hudson area, visit the shops, take photos by the lake, maybe play a round of 9 hole golf and then head to Cunningham’s for comfort food.
