Went here last Friday. Have been trying to find good American Chinese food since moving here. When we arrived we were the only people but it was in the middle of a snow storm. They asked if we wanted buffet or menu. We looked at both and settled on buffet. They said it would be a few mins as the buffet was not yet stocked as they wanted it not to sit while no one was there. Didn’t take long and the buffet was filled. The place was super busy with take out. A few other diners came as we were finishing. We will return. We were really happy with the choices, the taste and the price.

Would not suggest this place to ANYONE me and my family went here to eat we spent about 60 $ on food which was an okay price… when we arrived we were the only people in there and it was around dinner that should have been a sign to me that this place is awful! When the food came out it was fried in oil that was used many many many times before it just tasted so old, I’m disappointed! I still think Toronto has the best Chinese food hands down…

Went there today(June 28, 2014). The restaurant is clean and the staff are all white women around 20 years old. The food is terrible… Ordered Cantonese Chow Mein, Wonton Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup and General Tao Chicken. Cantonese Chow Mein didn’t have fried noodles… just a bit of soggy noodles and not much at all. There was hardly any sauce and it wasn’t spectacular tasting, either. The General Tao chicken tasted like all dressed potato chips and wasn’t fried properly… the batter just ended up being a soggy mess, and there was again no sauce to go with the rice. The soups tasted heavy of salt/msg and not much actual flavour. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants and this is probably one of the worst. The portions were not very big, either. When ordering, I gave my order then asked if they had any specials. The young lady on the phone said, «like what?» and I said the typical things like % off for cash, free items after certain amounts, etc. She said well after $ 30 you can get 10% off if paying cash. I said oh okay how close are we? She said 29.60. Nice that she didn’t bother mentioning that while I was ordering. Really lackluster place… not sure what the other reviewer is talking about. Sounds like a complete scam. However, the place was clean and the food was edible… they also do an all you can eat minimal buffet which didn’t look spectacular but i guess at those prices you could at least have a decent portion. I’d still avoid it though. **oh yeah also ordered steamed rice and it was soggy — what kind of chinese restaurant can’t make rice?

Omg… Soooooo good, I now have a food baby because I couldn’t stop eating. Everything was so hot that when we put away the leftovers my countertop was hot. The battered dishes were a perfect golden with the chicken still being moist. The vegetables were chrisp and the noodles al dente. The sauces were amazing. We just moved to Barrie and have tried 5 Chinese restaurants so far and disliked them all except this one. This is one of the best, if not the best Chinese food I’ve had, excluding home made stuff. And great prices and portions
