Hawgs Breath

Great looking digs and still busy at 2pm. Quick friendly service and tasty food.

Hawgs Breath is a really cool little eatery! The atmosphere is fun and cozy: nice and warm in the winter with red walls and lots of interesting artwork. The tables are a bit small for the big plates they use, though, so if you’re with a party of more than two, there’s not a lot of elbow room. That said, they do lunch very well. The menu is impressive. There are no individual menus, but it’s written in chalk at the back of the restaurant.
I had the mushroom, chicken and cheese on a ciabatta with Italian wedding soup, and the sandwich was really good. My mom and dad both had the potato soup, and while my mom opted for the brie-​fig jam-​pear-​ham sandwich, my dad went for the Reuben. Both really enjoyed their sandwiches!
As an aside (but I mention it because it matters), the bathrooms (or at least the ladies bathroom) is kind of funky looking (in a good way) and super clean.
I can see Hawgs Breath becoming a favourite watering hole :)

Amazing food and great service
Would get a 5 star but they won’t serve beer samples which is an industry standard everywhere else. How am I suppose to try something new when you have 22 different taps and I can’t have a taster sample.

Great atmosphere, fantastic crowd, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
