King Street Sizzle Restaurant & Bar

Just went for breakfast and we should have stayed home and cooked.
Coffee was weak.
Potatoes were bland.
Hollandaise was very fake tasting.
English muffin wasn’t toasted.
I only go out for eggs Benny for breakfast because I’m a good cook and can’t be bothered making hollandaise sauce.
So far in town I’ve tried quite a few places and I regularly go to Smitty’s and would return to Pete’s place and Megalo’s that’s about it.

My 6-​year old daughter loves this place because of the free Jelly Bellies at the reception desk and the free coloring pages and crayons while you wait. If you’re not that into jellybeans you’ll at least appreciate the good service. The food is pretty run-​of-​the-​mill and doesn’t change much, but it’s reliable.

I eat here regularly whenever I’m staying at the Four Points and it’s never been disappointing, though it is a little expensive. The food is well done — especially the french onion soup and the ribs. Breakfast portions are massive, though both times I’ve had them the potatoes were undercooked and still hard.
One other commenter noted that the caesar salad was overdressed. It may just be that one, because it was one of the best salads I’ve had.

I was staying at the Four Points and needed a quick meal before heading out for a long day of work.
So thought why bother leaving the hotel grounds.
I should have.
First I was sat…
…The girl that sat me came over and asked me for my drink order, having not seen anyone else working in the restaurant i assumed she was my server as well.
Nope. She told me that she would grab my server for me.
5 minutes later another women comes out from the back. Walks by me, walks by the table beside me and goes and talks to the guy working the bar (doing prep).
She then goes back to the back without stopping at my table or the table beside me.
The table beside me finally get her attention and ask for their bill. The waitress ignores me.
She then brings them their bill and disappears for a few more minutes.
So now I have been sitting here for over ten minutes waiting to order a quick bite.
She finally comes over to me, I give her my order and off she goes.
All this time had given me plenty of time to look around. I noticed that the open kitchen concept fails when your exposed floor and shelving units are not swept or cleaned under. I saw a ton of exposed cables, dirt, grease and even an empty pop bottle.
So the server comes back with my meal. She brings me one of those small boxes of cereal. You know those tiny boxes you buy in the 6 packs along with a bowl large enough to house two gold fish. Oh and a side car of milk, maybe 2 fl oz.
The fruit plate was pretty good. But it was pre-​prepped and sitting in a cooler.
Having to wait nearly 15 minutes when I had 20 is very off-​putting. Seeing a floor that dirty is very off-​putting. Having your server walk by you 4 times with out acknowledging you is yet again, very off putting. Having to say ‘off-​putting,’ is very off-​putting.

Love the Sizzle and the party room – an intimate place for a large party (10 – 15 people). The lobster ravioli is to die for and the location is central (inside the new-​ish Four Points by Sheraton hotel). A great place for dinner with a bunch of friends on any night of the week.

A nice location near downtown with a Spanish inspired menu. Most items are just your average fare. Pint and pound special of beer and wings is solid. The caesar was over sauced and the lobster ravioli was swimming in a salty mix. Solid steak and a good range of apps. Try the croquets or french onion soup.
