The Aldor Acres Dairy Centre is a hands-​on family run Dairy Farm. All of our guests get to hand milk a cow, make butter, feed the cows and visit the calves! Call ahead to book a visit! Pumpkins and Christmas Trees offered seasonally.

History

Established in 1999.

Brian & Erin Anderson started milking 25 cows and giving public guided (educational) tours of our conventional Dairy Farm in March of 1999. In March of 2012 Aldor Acres Dairy Centre changed from the conventional herringbone milking parlour to a Voluntary Milking System (Robotics) and now milk 45 cows. Stop by for a visit and learn about where your milk comes from!

Brian & Erin are dairy farmers who enjoy their cows and the public. They welcome people from all over the globe to visit their farm at any time throughout the year to see what it takes to produce milk on a British Columbia Dairy Farm. They run a small commercial farm and have designed and set their facility up to host groups of people from 1 –120 to take part is this interactive, hands on visit to the farm. Each visitor gets to milk a cow by hand!

It really is out of the way — but a great place to have kids experience time with animals such as goats, pigs, chickens, cows. It’s $ 6/​person (kid or adult) and there is a hay ride that come around every half hour or so.
During the fall they have a pumpkin patch, during the winter a Christmas Tree farm, and it’s all family run. A quaint place, which will keep the kids occupied for at least 2 – 3 hours.

Want to indulge in some childhood pumpkin patch memories? Feel like a kid again at Aldor Acres!
There’s llamas, goats, hayrides, cows and tractors to transport you to the pumpkin patch. After you choose the pumpkin you want, they measure it back on the tractor, –the price goes by size. Prices are a bit higher than what you would pay in stores, but it’s for the experience. How can you NOT have a good time?
Make sure to go earlier rather than later in the month as the best pumpkins are available near the beginning of October.

The Ultimate farm experience for families! This huge local farm is run by Al and Doreen and their family. This huge farm has it all… petting zoo, an animal barn, tours of the milking barn, educational programs for schools and in the Fall, pumpkin picking from the fields and tractor rides to get you there. This real working farm is an exceptional experience for visitors. I think it is $ 4.00 per person to get in for as long as you like.
Weekdays there are many school groups, and weekends it is bustling but never crowded.
