C-Lovers Fish & Chips

There’s nothing bad to say about C-​lovers. The fish is lightly breaded and not greasy at all. The service is efficient and friendly. The price for my daughter and I was less than McDonalds, and certainly a much higher quality product. We’ll definitely return in the future. Amazing all around ⁵⁄₅

We used to come here often. We haven’t been for about 4 years. The service was great and the food unbelievable. Not greasy. Even the cole slaw was amazing. My husband and I shared a platter with fish, deep friend prawns, massive onion rings and fries. We couldn’t even finish it Cost for that platter $ 24.99. Thank you.

It wasn’t busy Thursday but food took little while to arrive.
They provide colouring sheet for kids while we are waiting for food.
You always required order your portion of food in advance as it take while to arrive. So while I am eating I cannot estimate how much more fish I need. If you ran out food and then order again it might take bit more time to arrive.
Cooked food arrive in fresh with right temperature.

The lady who served us the food was really friendly.
We ordered the All You Can Eat fish & chips.
The fries weren’t that special but they were good and fresh.
The fish was really tasty!
I didn’t think we needed the All You Can Eat as we weren’t able to finish it haha. :)
But it was a really good experience.

They did raise the price to 12.99 which is still good. From being the best to I’m not sure I want to go back.
I know they changed owners and most definitely the cook.
They are using different fish and the batter seems different too. I have never in my life had tough fish until now. I couldn’t bite into this one piece. The other pieces of fish were mushy and a not that good in flavor. They used to use Ling Cod but now I am not sure what they are using but it is not very good. The batter did taste good but wasn’t the light and crispy as it used to be.
Their fries were delicious as always. I am hoping this was a one time bad experience. I will try them once again in case it is just a one time thing or maybe even learning pains. I got my finger crossed :)

The food is pretty good, I usually just get your basic cod and chips or small variations thereof but it’s done well. Not exactly inexpensive but the portions are decent (except perhaps the tartar sauce, we got one very small container for eight pieces of fish). I do always get take out, though, as the service is only okay at the best of times and pretty dismal at the worst.

I will never return based on how I was treated as a customer! Very Poor and argumentative attitude by assistant manager. These guys will be out of business soon with their attitude and customer treatment.
I called ahead and asked if they still had the take out special. I was told no we do not. I get there and see a sign saying Take out special for $ 30. Mentioned it to the guy and he says oh sorry.
So I ended up having to spend $ 50 on 6 pieces of fish and chips family pack, only to get home and find no large tartar sauce nor the large coleslaw. So I phone and a kid answers with a Homer Simpson approach saying Doh most of the time and not knowing what to do, so he puts the assistant manager on the phone. I tell the assistant manager the story that there is no tartar sauce, no large coleslaw and also mentioned about the Take out special mishap.
No apology, no offer to make it right, no concern at all about the customer experience or the shortfalls in our dinner, in fact no offer of anything! He argues with me saying it was him who answered the phone and he argues that I never asked about the take out special. So i said what can you do for me and with more attitude I am told we usually send a gift certificate. So I gave him my address and contact details and I said when can I expect the certificate and he says — well my manager will have to call you first and we shall see if we will be sending you a gift certificate! ATTITUDE! So I paid for items I didn’t receive and then they still need to decide if I am worthy to get what I paid for! He went on to say he had no idea when I would receive a call. The tone of the assistant manager the whole time was not at all customer friendly. In fact he didn’t care and it was so obvious. He was annoyed with the complaint.
I will never return to this place again simply based on their attitude. Try Salty’s Fish and Chips or Captains Galley just down the lane where they care about their customers and make a great Fish and Chips.
C Lovers aren’t so loving about their customers anymore… place used to be much better but perhaps a recent ownership change is killing their business. Place was empty when I went in… stay tuned for my follow up whether they ever did anything to make it right! It’s been awhile since I have run into an attitude like that. Wonder where he got it from?
OMG So here is the most bizarre message I received back from the general manager 2 days later on Sep 10. Can you believe this guy and his further questioning. LOL. OMG now I know where the assistant manager got his training and letter writing skills from. This is hilarious read on —
«I would like to apologize for your dissatisfaction of your take-​out experience in our establishment. I can truly say that the staff and I here at C-​Lovers Langley are extremely disappointed that we have let a customer down. I appreciate you taking the time to write us a comment card, as it is key for the staff and myself to learn from these mistakes and better the service we provide for our customers. I understand that there was a miscommunication on are part when it came to the Take-​Out special and by no means should that have happened as it is policy that are Take-​Out special is discussed upon during a customer asking if we have daily specials. I was also disappointed to hear that your 6pc Family Pack was missing the small homemade tartar sauce and large coleslaw that should be with any of our Family Packs. In this case I was able to pull the video footage from approximately 6:45pm to about 7:30pm and noticed that everyone during that time received a paper bag. I was wondering if you could let me know if you received anything in a paper bag with your order. And confirm the approximate time of your pick up. I would again like to thank you for writing C-​Lovers a comment card as I can take this information of your incident and thoroughly look into it, so I can discover the mishaps that occurred, and place corrective measures as we speak to eliminate such errors taking place at any further point in time. July 5 2914, visiting this place as we speak for the 5^th time this year. it has been bought or taken over by new ppl all the old employees are gone. fish n chips is same quality but chowder is now inedible. also noticeably rude wait staff I think its a family who bought it

Friendly, speedy service. The food is quite good. Great deals if you come with a big appetite.

Great value, friendly service. The batter was very light and not greasy in the slightest. On the radar for my next fish and chips craving while in Langley.

Remarkably great fish… Nice light thin crispy batter and fresh cut fries. that are always steaming hot… Servers come and go, so … Review is solely based on the excellent food.

Went in skeptical that a chain fish and chip shop could be good (wasn’t impressed by the north vancouver location) — THEY PROVED ME WRONG! The fish was light and not overly battered, the homemade onion rings alone were worth the trip! And the tarter sauce was fantastic, but most of all THE SERVICE ROCKED! Our server, Aimee was polite, friendly and knew her stuff! She was attentive without being annoying, and we didn’t even have to ask for refills on our drinks, they magically appeared (which is a real pet peeve for me!) The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the fish was not just snatched out of the ocean… but for a friday night fish and chips this place gets a definite 2 thumbs up and we will definitely return!

Fishy fishy so dee-​lish-​ee is what C-​Lovers is!!! The $ 11.99 all you can eat fish and botomless pop is a great deal for famalies as they have this deal all week for all to enjoy. Ambiance is very cafeteria but it is what it is but at the same time for being a fish and chip joint you don’t smell like deep frying which is a bonus. Went here with a group of 12 for my moms birthday dinner and we had two kids ages 7 and 11, three seniors over 72, and a my 1 year old daughter with no problems for seating as we called ahead for a reservation.
Service was fast and prompt as our waitress (the tall one with the brown hair) was awesome and tended to all of us even though the place was packed. She was spot on with refills and checking up on us but not being intrusive. I would give her a ¹⁰⁄₁₀ for service and 2 bonus points for her sass factor, in a good way of course as she had a good sense of humor with our deverse group of birthday goers.
Fish and chips were fast and fresh with the fish being decent sizes not too big or too small and they give about six pieces to start with a good size of fries. Crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, be careful as they are super hot as they come right out of the fryer and ditto for the fries.
Awesome place for family eats
FYI park in the back in near the Save on Foods parking lot as parking on Fraser Highway is a bit tight at times and can be hard to get the kids out of the car seeing that it’s on a major street. The back lot has lots of room and has a rear enterance.

Go for the all-​u-​can-​eat for an amazing price which also includes your drink. It’s got the best fish batter too — light and just right, not too heavy. You won’t be displeased. :-)

Excellent value for $. Huge portions and comes hot out of the fryer. Good value for families!!!
