I visited Mountainview years ago with a social group and I loved it. Granted I love animals. I love the passion all the staff had for animals and the fact that the animals were treated with respect and not like displays for bored people to gawk at… this place is huge and I got to ride on a tractor type ride thing(it’s been a while) while a staff member told us about the different animals. It was a grey, windy day and the place was so wild, beautiful and natural. I felt like I was in Jurassic Park on that guided tour and have always wanted to go back or even volunteer there but I don’t have a car and it’s not near any public buses that I know of. If you want to show your kids or friends or spouse animals that are treated well and have lots of room to live their lives, this place is for you! It’s great! I just wish a bus would go there… I live in downtown Vancouver and would travel all the way to Langley to go here, but I don’t think a bus goes even close. I would be happy volunteering my time here if I lived closer and could get here. If you can and love animals and the people who deeply cherish them, support Mountainview!

This is a cool spot for a birthday party, and they happen to have packages. The interior of their interpretation centre really needs a face lift(and a rug shampoo) but the experience is great. The kids love the animals, and learn a lot on the tour. It is a nice change from the big zoo, and a worthy cause to throw a few bucks into the jar to help.
