The Waterfront Bar & Grill

Went around lunch hour, 10 patrons… Service, food and atmosphere round up the 3 stars perfectly. We had calamari, chicken Skewer, Gyro and Greek salad. All were average, food came promptly.

I came in here with my significant other because my co-​worker had found this place online as somewhere close to the lake, and quaint. We happened to be staying at the inn steps away and decided to drop by…
1) lettuce leaf in glass– I made a comment out loud which was ignored
2) food came in 7 mins. Which should have rung an alarm
3) my fiancé’s ratatouille was cold in the middle at the bottom
4) to top it off, a man behind us complained about his fish, and the waitress asked if he would like his bill… That was it.
No I won’t be coming back and I’ll make sure to recommend my co workers and friends not to come here. Word of mouth travels fast.

Okay food. Nothing special about it. The location is nice in the summer since they have the patio near the water. And $ 9 for a burger, fries and a beer was a good deal. I probably would not dine here again since there are better places to eat in the area but I would grab a drink here!

We were tourists here. Very hungry tourists. The reason we chose this one was because there was live music being played, but unfortunately within minutes of being seated they stopped playing for the night. (We arrived right around 8pm on a Sunday evening, the night before Canada Day). We came upon this restaurant when we were tired and hungry, and this place was somewhat close to the water (not very close, but somewhat close) so it had a nice enough view. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and the view. We greeted pretty quickly by a waitress, we could pick any table we wanted, and sat down. She came to take our drink order right away. Overall I’d say the food here was really just average. I think what you’re paying for her is the ambiance, of being able to be on waterfront and enjoying the fresh air. The restaurant itself is nice. Nice seats and tables, even the ones outside are nice. The staff was friendly.
The bathrooms downstairs leave a lot to be desired. They’re in serious need of an overhaul.
If you’re in the area, yes I’d recommend it. I wouldn’t go out my way to come here, though.

I stopped in tonight, later than the «usual» supper time, and I was the only patron there. I hope that’s not normal. Anyway, I asked the waitress for her recommendation and she said they were known for their yellow perch. I went with that.
It came out in good time, lightly breaded perch accompanied by little yellow potatoes and some overcooked vegetables. Aside from the veggies, it was delicious and was just enough for me. It was preceded by a garden salad, which was crisp and delicious.
The interior is nice, lots of wood and lots of windows and a nice view of Lake Erie.
I would definitely recommend this.
