Basha Donair & Shawarma

Yes. So much. I want everything!
Hot, fresh, and the owners are awesome! Love popping in here for pretty much anything. Haven’t tried anything that I didn’t like. It’s a funky little space with so much tasty inside. They have locations in Edmonton and out at the truckstop as well. Haven’t popped into those, but I would try them in a hearbeat!
The parking lot is a little awkward, but free, and worth it to get in here!

I have eaten at over 50 donair shops and this one is my favourite, huge portions great sauce, reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Give Basha a try

On my way home from the West side tonight, I was looking for somewhere in the middle to try out.
A friend recomended Basha.
Donair…sure!
Unasumming little place off Saddleback Road.
1^st thing I noticed upon entering was how clean and well kept everything was. Signage all over promoting their products were of good quality. Kitchen clean and everything very presentable.
Decided on a regular cheese donair and a bottleof water. ~$ 11. Really good. Fresh. Juicy. Lots of meat. Sweet sauce was quite good. Only «problem» was that there could have been a little more sauce.
Staff were very friendly and upbeat. Even offered up a sample Baklava while I waited.
Napkin dispensers on tables (good plan in a donair shop!) and there were even comment cards on every table.
Really impressed.
If I was in the area, I could see this quickly becoming a go-​to spot!

I wasn’t a fan of donairs until I ate here. The chicken shwarma is so so good. Everything is fresh and most of the ingredients are made in house. You can even buy a jar of homemade purple turnip pickles.

We tried Basha for the first time yesterday, and I gotta say I have a new addiction! It was delicious. In my teen years I worked in a donair shop, so I’d like to think my standards are somewhat high. Lol. Basha surpassed all expectations. My husband and I got donairs, mozza sticks, and deep fried pickles. Loved there deep fried pickles, but I am pregnant so I could be biased… Wasn’t the biggest fan of the mozza sticks, but to be fair we didn’t eat them until a little later on. Their protons are huge! I couldn’t finish their Big Basha, and waited until later to eat a couple of the pickles. Good price for what you get! We’ll be back for sure!

Located on a busy rd in Leduc, but easy to find. Staff was super friendly on both occasions I visited while in the area. I ordered the regular size chicken & beef combo shawarma wrap– DELICIOUS. Huge portion, great taste, toppings of choice. The pickles are great. Eat it in the restaurant or at work! Don’t attempt it in the car, gets a bit messy and drippy. But that’s the fun of it, just not on the shirt! Lol. There is a typical kids menu with large portions. Love the old fashion black cherry soda. I will return again & again now that I found this small gem. Cheers! Kim

So I went here a while ago and they have awesome chicken fingers and fries :-) they have awesome service. I had never heard of this place a co-​worker said let’s go for lunch and this is where we went. It was good a definite place to check out in Leduc!!!

My previous review for Basha is a few years old, but I’ve been back several times since then and Basha still has amazing donairs. They expanded the restaurant a bit, so there is a larger seating area.
I’ve had the chicken shawarma a few times, but I still love getting a classic beef donair. Unlike what reviewer Diana N. implies I have had donairs at numerous places, and I too have expectations for what a donair should taste like. Apparently her donair fell short, but for me, on every occasion I’ve been to Basha the donairs have been great. The meat is always tender, and I love that you can decide what toppings and sauce (like sweet or garlicky) you’re going to get. The portion sizes for Basha are pretty big. Last time I got a small donair with a combo (fries and a pop) and there was way too much food for me to finish. I’ll likely just stick to getting a donair (no combo) next time.
The other thing I love about Basha, aside from the fact the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the service is pretty quick is the fact the food doesn’t upset me. I’ve had a lot of donairs at other restaurants that taste delicious going in, but then an hour or so later my stomach is doing flip flops and I’m cursing myself for eating a donair. This has never happened at Basha. The donairs are delicious and they’ve never caused my stomach to get upset.
The only thing that is a bit of a pain, like Michelle K. points out, is the parking lot, which is very small. If you come right at lunch (noon to 1pm) there will likely be a line and parking might be hard to get. I try to come at an off-​time, less waiting and no parking hassles.

My husband always gets his donairs here. He swears by their donairs. Always ask for extra sauce. Parking can be difficult as the lot is small.

I swung by this spot last night to grab a donair. It was pretty good in general. Nothing amazing but the establishment did have fresh toppings and quality meat. The staff was very nice and sociable. Next time I’m in the area and want a donair, I’ll stop here.

This is a well-​run donair and shawarma shop. You can tell the family that runs this place takes pride in both what they do and their little business. Recommended.

I’ve had my fair share of donairs in the past and BOY does BASHA make the best one there is.
The meat was very tender (of course). The service staff was friendly (they even remembered that our other family member frequently goes there too).
I am so glad Basha Donair is close to home.
I recommend this to anyone who has not had a donair in their life before. Good stuff!!!

Im sorry but the staff was rude and removed, the donair really was not that good, not worth a second chance in my books

there’s alot of donair joints in leduc, this is a really good one, and the falafal’s (my fav) are tasty as well.
