Coney Island Candy

This place was super cool, fun to go to. It did however make me sad that is has now closed down. I feel that they where overpriced. I would go there and see something for almost $ ²⁄₁₀₀ grams where at bulk barn just down the road it was under 1 $. They did however have lots of cool novelty candy and goodies. When ever I went to whyte, I always stopped in to look and see if they had any cool new goodies I could pick up. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good store,

The perfect candy store for people of all ages! A huge selection of candy and silly nick knacks. There is one item in particular that I have never found anywhere else and that keeps me coming back on a regular basis — PEANUT BUTTER WHOPPERS!!! :) They seem to carry a number of those difficult to come by things. The super high sales counter is cute… so everyone feels like a kid in a candy store… but I am pretty short so it’s a little funny when I go to pay! The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the staff are pleasant and helpful. They also tend to change it up in there regularly which is always interesting! And of course there is the good old fortune teller dude — that crazy guy gets me every time!

I cant say enough good things about Coney Island Candy– I love walking in and grabbing a big bucket to fill with candy. The staff is friendly and informative and the overall atmosphere is awesome!
I love the change in selection and that everything is always so fresh-​No one likes hard candy or seeing the same stuff all the time.

Stepping inside this store is, well like being a kid in a candy store. even if you’re an adult. The first thing I hear when I step inside is the Zoltar machine asking me to get my fortune read. I love it, I haven’t seen one of those machines in a long time, its already bringing me back to being a kid.
Of course the wide selection of candy doesn’t hurt either. There’s everything from jelly bellies to salt water taffy to gummy bears to honey sticks (anyone remember those). They have also have a good assortment of candy from England and the US that can be harder to find here. These items are a little bit more than the regular candy, but that’s to be expect considering they’re imported. One thing I loved was they sold this box filled with candies from a different decade, from the 50’s to the 80’s I believe. That would make a great gift for someone’s birthday or for the holidays. Nothing like opening a present full of candy you used to love as a kid.
Coney Island also has some gag gifts and sillier things like the bacon flavored tablets you can add to water. Mmm bacon water, doesn’t that sound appealing?
Okay so maybe I’m not gonna buy the bacon tablets, or the bacon mints (really) but I will splurge on the candy. Its a good thing I don’t live too close to Coney Island Candy because I could easily come here every day and to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Seriously awesome, prices are good staff is so friendly, perfect place to pop in whileon a stroll on whyte ave… I love candy and well they have plenty of choices. Love it. When you go in you start to remember all the candies as a kid… check it out its worth it

I came for the candy (duh) but I return for the WARRIORS memorabilia! Sure, there are all kinds of sweets here — just looking in the window as you pass by will give your eyes diabetes — but I feel in love with this place when I saw the old Warriors vest, framed and hanging on the wall. Once you’ve visited, you’ll have to come back. Just like Swan and Ajax, even the Orphans or the Furies (the baseball gang) won’t keep you from getting back to this Coney Island… though I might be distracted by the siren song of the Lizzies… hey, it’s only candy.

Coney Island Candy store is great! It feels like something out of a movie. As all the other reviews state it will make any adult feel like a kid again.
They carry a lot of bulk candy so it is great to just go and stock up. Part of me wishes this place was my house. yes it is that cool. The prices are a bit up there but who cares. They candy is worth it. They have everything you could possibly want.
I don’t think I would take any kids here because their heads would probably explode. I try not even to take myself here. It’s a lot to handle.

I love going into Coney Island Candy because you instantly feel like a kid in a candy store! This place has everything kind of candy you could ever dream of (and some I can’t)!
They have a lot of bulk candy (an entire wall to be precise) so you can load up there. Be warned, it is extremely over priced though. I usually get bulk sour soothers from Superstore because they are almost half the price.
Not only does Coney Island Candy have zillions of candies, they also have some pretty humorous novelty items. Shopping in Coney Island is quite an experience, and a fun one a that!
I love the cashier’s counter because it is ridiculously high. They designed it so that you feel like a kid! You have to reach up to pay, just like we all did when our moms would give us their change to go buy some candy and we were too little to see over the counter. Isn’t that a wonderful memory? Coney Island captures it perfectly.
I really like Coney Island Candy — my sweet tooth is not to be reckoned with — and stop in whenever I can. As I mentioned, it can be a bit pricey but is always tasty!

This place is like something out of one of my dreams… or perhaps one of my nightmares where all my teeth fall out. Its a bit creepy in there with the Halloween set up right now, and the fortune teller in a box talking to you when you first walk in. There is candy from floor to ceiling in here including vintage varieties and some gross favorites like candy teeth and garbage. I found a giant bag of Warheads here which made me very excited! There is not a massive selection here, but what they do have is the good stuff. Also, be sure to put a loonie in Zoltar to get your totally accurate fortune told!

Coney Island Candy is located on Whyte Avenue and is a candy lover’s paradise. It sells just about every kind of candy, whether it comes loose, in bar form, or pre-​packaged. There are also a wide variety of gum and non-​edible novelties. You can see the excited looks on not only the children here, but also the adults as they discover many of the candies they grew up with. A lot of the candies are sold in bulk in glass jars. Unlike Carole’s Sweets on 124 Street, there is not a large selection of chocolate here (other than candy bars and bags of chocolate-​coated items). However, the selection of all things sugary, spice, and nice is the largest I have seen.
