Second cup first opened it’s doors in Leduc when I was still a resident and I can remember people being so excited that there was finally a sit down coffee place in town besides Timmie’s that it was often difficult to find a seat. It has been a few years now and this location is still enjoyed by both residents and visitors alike. The atmosphere is quite cozy and I especially enjoy the job they do of decorating during the holiday season. The staff are also quite nice. My friend and I split a piece of red velvet cake yesterday and they promptly provided another fork for her after she dropped one on the floor without her even having to ask. The drinks here are typical of most Second Cup locations but if you like consistency and enjoy the chain you really cannot go wrong here. It is definitely worth stopping in if you find yourself in Leduc and a coffee craving hits.

Truly dislike this place. Breakfast sandwiches taste like shit and like they came in bulk and pre-packaged…make them fresh it’s way better and your taste like they were microwaved… their hot chocolate taste like just warm milk and lacks flavor. You live in Canada… make it better… hot chocolates are supposed to provide comfort on cold days and make you feel like you’re relaxing and at home no matter where you are… not like you have a cold and can’t taste anything.

This Second Cup is the first chain coffee shop to open an actual restaurant in Leduc. Sure there’s Starbuck’s at Safeway, but you can’t really sit down and drink your coffee there. To be honest I’ve always liked Second Cup, I use to go there often in High School. When I worked at the airport I always loved getting a frozen hot chocolate at the second cup. The coffee here is decent, not quite as strong as Starbuck’s but stronger than Tim Horton’s. The décor is warm and inviting. Quite a few tables and chairs. There are a few plug ins for those with a laptop. Drinks are good, but a little pricey — like any chain coffee shop. I always enjoy getting the chai latte when it’s cold outside, or an Italian soda when it’s hot. There’s also a drive thru for those on the go. It’s not the best coffee shop ever, but for Leduc it is the best.
