On saturday the first frozen yogurt place(as far as I know) opened up in Leduc. While I missed the grand opening I came into Tutti Frutti today for a frozen yogurt. I’ve had Tutti Frutti before and unlike some other frozen yogurt places(read: Twisted Yogurt) I actually like the flavour of the frozen yogurt here. This is a self-serve frozen yogurt. You grab the size you want and pick whatever flavour suits your fancy. One, one, three, however many flavours you want to add in is fine. There is also a sherbet flavour which has a little bit less dairy in it. I found out from the girl working there that the middle lever in the set of three mixes the flavours on either side. You can finish your frozen yogurt creation by adding toppings. There are variety of toppings to choose from like fruit, jellies, coconut, chocolate chips, waffle cone pieces, candies, gummies, etc. There are also a couple of syrup flavours. The frozen yogurt cups are quite big, even the small ones, but everything here is done by weight — so the more you have the more it costs. Frozen yogurt might be seen as being healthier than ice cream, but I don’t know about that. I don’t think my death by chocolate and red velvet frozen yogurt with white chocolate chips, walnuts, and strawberries would be considered the epitome of healthy eating, but it was good. The store is bright, and clean and the staff was quite helpful. Leduc does not have a lot of variety in the frozen treats variety, so Tutti Fruitti is a welcomed addition.
