Bertoldi’s is an authentic Italian Trattoria in London, Ontario. Inspired by our grandparents Nonno Gelindo and Nonna Marie, our food is cooked the true Italian way — made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients possible. We bake our own bread daily, we make all of our specialty pastas, and all of our sauces are made fresh here on the premises. We support local merchants when buying all ingredients for our food. Under the guidance of Chef John Fisher, our lunch, dinner and feature menus showcase all of the delicious regional cuisine of Italy. At the heart of the restaurant sits our fiery forno — turning out authentic breads and pizzas. We have a dedicated pastry chef creating delectable Italian desserts, as well as many foods and wines imported directly from Italy. Bertoldi’s also features a private dining room that can fit up to 50 people for special parties or occasions, and there’s no fee to rent it. We hope you’ll come dine with us soon!
History
Established in 2002.
Bertoldi’s restaurant opened in London in 2002 by Bob DiFruscia and is now managed by his daughter, Jessica DiFruscia. The concept for Bertoldi’s was inspired by my grandparents (Jessica’s great grandparents), Nonno Gelindo and Nonna Marie, who cooked the true Italian way. Everything was made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients possible. We are in continually searching for not only the finest, but also the freshest, products available in our region. We want to give Londoners a taste of Italy in a simple surrounding. Please sit at our table and break bread with us, just as you would have had you been over to Gelindo and Marie’s for supper or lunch.
