I ordered the mushroom risotto with beef cheeks and it was amazing! It took me forever to choose because I was also interested in the pork tenderloin and the seared beef gnocchi. Our group started with the antipasta which we were a little disappointed that the waitress didn’t tell us what was on our platter. It was just a really busy plate with a lot of items so a quick run down would’ve been appreciated. It actually wasn’t my favourite but others enjoyed it. My brother got the Vietnamese drum sticks which to his surprise actually tasted Vietnamese, and the wedge salad with shrimp added. My brother’s coworker got the escargot and lambchop lollipops. Everything was presented so beautifully. I am definitely coming back to try some other eye catching items on their menu.

Awesome food, good environment, good service. I have tried four items here and every single one has been amazing: Pad Thai, lobster mac and cheese, fish and chips and a grilled fish special. Prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are good: not too small, not too big. My only complaint: they give super-cheap disposable wood chopsticks with the Pad Thai… Good thing I carry my own chopsticks! I highly recommend Blu Dube as a great place for lunch or dinner.

Blu Duby is a great atmosphere for a dinner and drinks kind of vibe. They have a solid selection of apps and drinks and awesome service. Don’t even remember everything I got here, it was mostly alcoholic, pretty sure it was a celebration, but I left having tipped twice, so i know it was good!

Out for a retirement celebration(not mine :)). Ordered the sweet potatoe, bacon, and maple soup. Tots delious. My entrée was the salmon dish with quinoa and grilled beets. Who knew healthy was soooo good. Great atmosphere, friendly service and fair prices. A repeater for sure!

I’ve been here twice now and quite impressed. The first time was for Londonlicious: bacon wrapped dates and their signature dish — Malaysian pad thai. The pad thai is almost an alfredo with a creamy coconut sauce. Super-delicious! Today, I tried the daily special: arctic char with quinoa, beets and artichokes. Fish and artichokes! What a fabulous combination. Perfect fish, super-tasty quinoa. And their fish and chips. Crispy Costco-style fries. Again, great fish. The place has great atmosphere as well.

Writing this review while I am still in a food coma from dinner here tonight. To start off, I really like the décor of this place — it is dimly lit and quite romantic(good place for a date). I was with a large group of people to celebrate a friend’s birthday and most of us opted for the Londonlicious menu that was available. FYI: Most of their options for Londonlicious are also available on their regular menu. For my starter, I had the mussels and fries in white wine sauce — 10⁄10! The sauce was very well made and the portion was quite large. For the entrée, I had their organic ribeye served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The steak was quite flavorful and tender but slightly overdone(I ordered a medium rare). For dessert, I ordered a cheesecake which they ran out of — it was fine though because we split a huge ice cream cake for the birthday girl! The service was very fast and friendly here. They were nice enough to slice and decorate the ice cream cake for us. All in all, a good experience and I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

My boyfriend and I were in London for a stay cation, meaning, we live in toronto and just wanted to get out of the city. we came here for dinner, and to our surprise it was actually better than expected. I got prime rib can’t remember what he got but it was up to par. The service was fantastic, the waitress was absolutely hilarious. All in all a good time, and what you would expect from a steakhouse sort of environment.

Based on many of the other reviews, I am totally UNimpressed. Not sure if this was just a bad night, or the norm. Came in by myself(on business travel) and started to sit at the bar, however, all of the chairs were askew and most all of the spaces had dirty glasses in front of them. I assumed people were sitting there and maybe had just gotten up for a second. As it turns out, folks must have been seated and the bar simply had not been cleaned up. I am now sitting here 1 ½ hours later, finally being served after waiting forever, and the dirty glasses still remain. I had the ribeye that came in a wonderful display, but honestly, was fairly tasteless. The only nice thing was the gal who took care of me(between the numerous tables she was waiting) was a sweetheart! Will I come back … Almost certainly not. There are way too many great places in London to dine and many literally right down the street. I wish I could take back the last 2 hours of my life and make another dinner choice. Now, I await for someone to come back to bring my check. Hopefully, not another ½ hour like the first time.

Tonight, 12÷15÷15, I walked into this place and have never had a worse experience anywhere. No one greeted me and was basically made to feel very unwelcome. I finally decided since no one seated me especially a one third filled restaurant that I would seat at the dirty dishes piling bar. After all they would clean up surely. Ten minutes sitting there still being totally ignored by the Asian woman bartender who had a total of four people on the bar, I finally desperately trying to get attention of the waiter who also didn’t make any move to greet the customer and asked if I can go ahead to get a table thinking may be then they would do their job. The waiter said«do you have reservation?»(Restaurant empty). I said no so he said then you can sit at a bar table and pointed to two, both of which were filled with dirty dishes. I said if that is the case, I might as well sit at the bar. He shrugged and left. No one even asked to serve after waiting another 1 mins, I got up and left. It saddens me to write this as I was in this industry long ago, the owner may not be aware that this is how the employees they hired can single handedly put this restaurant out of business over time, the poor chef works so hard to make an impression with the food, and the beautifully decorated restaurant is marred by extremely BAD service. The place reeked class and yet their servers reeked of lack of decorum or class, rude and frankly ignorance of this industry. I put the date and wrote this review right away hoping the owner will fix this situation because having been in this industry, it will come tumbling down. Anyway I left since basically not served and walked over to Abruzzi nearby. It was day and night. The restaurant was busy and fill with life. The waitress Kayla bends over backward to make me feel welcome. As a business traveler who has to deal with eating alone and from US, had I not walk in Abruzzi, I would have a completely bad view based on these two employees who frankly has no business be in the service industry. Abruzzi, guess I will give my corporate event to you etc. these two people have cost their owner way more money than just a meal of one person.

Food is always amazing and service excellent. Can get a little loud at times if there is a live performer but that’s the only issue I’ve ever had. It is a go to restaurant for us as we know we will always get a great meal and great service. My daughter says the beef tenderloin is amazing, she cuts it with her fork. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for date night, family or friends night out, business dinner, anytime.

I rarely post a review unless the restaurant is really great or absolutely horrible. Blu Duby is fantastic! We ate here the first night we checked into the hotel because is was the closest place. We were blown away by the service and the quality and freshness of the food. We came back again the flowing night, ordered different dishes and had the same experience… all good! Highly recommend.

We always start with a 5 and take away marks based on what didn’t work or wasn’t right. First off our previous experience here had we reviewed it would not have been as high a mark. We did try out their LondonLiscious menu and have to say it was suitably impressive. Ceviche was good(room for improvement but I did gobble it all up) and the steak was very nicely executed as was the dessert. My wife also enjoyed all that she ordered as well. The service was very good and not overbearing and the server had a very good knowledge of the food. We lucked out with some live guitar music over dinner and the entire setting was just right. We have come to appreciate the venue in new light(hopefully this will be a spot we continue to dine out at) and it has made the list of our top ten in London.

We made reservations and were having a business dinner with some clients from the US. I ordered the pork tenderloin. After a 40 minute wait I finally received it and was so disappointed by the dried out overcooked piece of meat I received. The mix of spices was so overpowering I was unable to really pinpoint what they were. Our waiter did not come by once to see how our dinner was ordered to refill or drinks. We then waited a good 45 minutes for dessert. Everyone but two people were served so the rest of the table had to wait while their sorbet was melting. Many of our party just ended up leaving without eating dessert or having coffee. I’m giving two stars because I did like the variety of beers on tap but this restaurant is one I will never visit again for both the substandard food and the substandard service.

Amazing dinner! Great service from the greeting at the door to the end of the meal. The mac and cheese and stuffed mushrooms apps were very good. Had the pepper tenderloin and it was cooked perfect and was very tender and flavorful. The smoked gouda scalloped potatoes were some of the best I ever had. The server staff were very attentive and well educated on the menu and wine list. Overall a great experience and would highly recommended it.

Blu Duby is definitely wayyyy fancier than I am used to but it was amazing. The atmosphere was casual yet upscale. It was a popular place tonight because of Western’s convocation. Appetizers were delicious. We ordered the Vegetarian Spring Rolls and the Moroccan Chicken. Both were amazing. The flavor of the Moroccan chicken was delicious and the chicken was tender and juicy. I had the peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin Which was perfectly cooked. It was tender and juicy and perfect. A bit spicy with the peppercorns but delicious. My sister has the scallops and shrimp. The waitress allowed her the option to substitute potatoes for quinoa. My fiancé had the pasta of the day. The portion was massive and he said it was delicious. My dad had the beef short ribs. They were so tender they fe apart. No knife needed. The duck confit mashed potatoes were rich and delicious My mom had the stuffed chicken. Which also looked delicious. Dessert was unbelievable. The apple caramel cake was moist and delicious. My parents had the cheesecake and the lemon tart. Although it was out of my comfort zone it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a great space for special occasions.

My second visit deserves more of a review than my first. This place is amazing. Located at 32 Covent Market Place, you will step up to the door and walk in to an ambient and well planned out restaurant. Every nook and cranny has been paid attention to. There is no such thing as a bad seat in the house either. Every option on the menu, from appetizers to mains, will cause a bit of drooling — but wait until you actually try the food! I was here with a group of 10 and we ordered plates of appetizers for the crew — what a spread! My favorite was the anti pasta platter(olives and toasted bread and pickled red peppers were my favorites), and the veggie spring rolls. Service was a little slow, but no one had to ask or wait for a drink /water refill, which is a big plus for me. I have already planned on what to order for my next visit… mmmnnnn. What a great place!

Had an excellent time here. The entrée was very good, I had the braised short ribs and they were a savoury treat. Tender, flavourful and just the right amount of marbling; they were accompanied by a delicious duo of sautéed yellow zucchini and duck confit with chive mashed potato. The service was professional and friendly without being overly solicitous. If you live in London or are visiting make it a point to eat here.

Checked out Blu Duby for Londonlicious. However, none of us partook of that menu, because we just had other things on the menu that appealed. 3 of our party had the Rib Eye Steak, and I had the Duck Duo. One of our party had the Grilled Caesar Salad and said it was awesome, My friends loved the steak, but personally I think that the Duck was awesome and they all missed out! Great service, nice modern décor. The hostess check in with us, and all in all we really enjoyed. Check it out — you won’t be disappointed!

I went into this restaurant with moderate expectations, but I was impressed! When I checked out the menu online, it came off as a more casual restaurant so I was surprised when I stepped inside to see a more upscale décor. The bread they brought out was made on site, but it was just okay. I’m glad it was offered though because the rest of the food took a long time to come out! I got the jerk tempeh, which came with beets and rice with kidney beans. I thought the choice to pair beets with this meal was a bit odd, but everything was really good. My friend got their miso-glazed salmon, which she said was cooked to perfection. We both appreciated that this restaurant offers healthier options such as whole grain sides and vegetarian-friendly dishes. We’ll definitely be going back!
