Great island food, and good prices. It is what it is, a take-out counter located inside a variety store, but the good is authentic and delicious. Also the staff were so personable, I could have chatted with them all day.

Small little downtown place that serves Jamaican food, geared mostly towards take-out although there are a small handful of stools for customers to sit and eat if they wish. I tried the curry goat which came with rice and peas and some fried plantain. Rice and peas were nicely cooked(although could’ve been a bit hotter in terms of temperature) as was the plantain. The curry goat really could’ve used some more chili peppers to give it some more heat but other spices and flavourings were definitely present and the goat was extremely well cooked(quite tender which is not an easy feat when it comes to goat meat). I’m curious to come back and try other dishes like jerk chicken, curry chicken, and their ackee and saltfish. Definitely doesn’t hurt that the lady behind the counter was extremely customer friendly.
