Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a while. They brought us old sweet potato fries that they said they«half fry» then fry again. they were dry and tasteless. I then got the miso chicken ramen bowl where the chicken was not fully cooked through and the soup was too salty, there were no veggies just noodles, chicken and broth. An hour later after I leave the place I got sick and had to stay in the bathroom for 30 minutes. Will never go there again.

I’m normally someone who really likes Japanese food, but there is something about getting a big bowl of liquid that doesn’t quite do it for me. I have been here a few times, and it tends to take a very long time for your food, and the amounts of food are quite small. The flavors are on-point, no complaints there. Just a person like me, i like to eat, and I feel like I leave there wanting more.

I love their spicy salmon rolls! Their ramen is yummy and fairly priced at 10 $. You wont leave hungry.

Good value and a nice atmosphere. Service was very good and the raman was awesome. The miso is a must.

I come here for lunch at least once a week. The spicy tonkotsu ramen is to die for, I like it even better than momofuku’s in Toronto! Their green dragon is my favourite in town by far, because it is a la carte and not ayce it isn’t rushed and the ingredients are super fresh. Simply delicious!

By far the most shit choice I’ve ever made. I had no intention of getting fiery poop until I took one sip of the Ramen, and realized my entire life, leading up to this moment, was a joke. The noodles are absolutely a joke. I might as well go buy a pack of .49 cent«Mr. Noodle» or «Ramen» from the store. Because guess what. This restaurant’s noodles taste the damn same. The beef is disgusting. Did I mention disgusting? Because that is the only word to describe the pile of crap that was dumped into my bowl. The iPad service is stupid. Guess what. You are a basic white girl if you think this is a revelation. Welcome to the 21st century where, just by having an iPad, doesn’t make up for your absolute garbage food. — Overall — Stay away from this. London does not have the best Ramen. Oh wait. They don’t have any Ramen. I’ve given up dreaming of finding a good place that serves Ramen. I guess it’s a better idea to buy a greyhound bus ticket, go to Toronto, and order some real damn Ramen.

Yumm! At first walking in I wasnt too sure if I would enjoy my time there. But the authentic delicious sushi and Saba(mackerel) I had was so yummy! And decently priced. Also the atmospher was pleasant

I’m not a ramen aficionado by any stretch, but having just moved from Vancouver where ramen joints are as plentiful as Starbucks, it was a nice surprise to discover Sakata Ramen. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu and it met my expectations. The broth was divine, however I did find the noodles lacking a bit of flavour. Overall it was a good experience and seeing as I am now a local, I will certainly be back.

Excellent service with a modern twist — it’s all ordered on an iPad delivered to the table! I get the same thing everytime… the hot and spicy ramen with pork and preserved egg! It is darn yummy! Watchout for alcoholic lady(cougar) in her 50’s that hits on guys just trying to work and eat. :-)

This was my first time eating«real ramen»(aka not the instant kind) so I wasn’t really sure what the real deal should taste like or if it was«proper» or not. I’m still not sure but all I know is that the ramen tasted pretty darn good! I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and it was awesome. Only costs $ 10 and comes in a HUGE bowl. The broth was creamy and delicious. Lots of noodles plus bean sprouts, corn, mushroom and two large pieces of pork. The pork was probably the best part of the dish because it was so tender and tasted perfect. My friend and I also shared some spring rolls but they were fairly average. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we first got our food so having the staff sort of watching us eat was a tad awkward. However our server was super nice and our food came out really fast. I feel like I can never have instant ramen ever again after this and if I do, it won’t be the same. «Real ramen» has ruined me(in a good way)!

Went back to Sakata Ramen for a quick dinner a few weekends ago. My boyfriend noticed that they had sushi rolls listed on their chalkboard sign outside. This was news to me since it was made clear the last time that the only difference between THIS Sakata and the OTHER Sakata was that there was no sushi. Turns out, they changed their minds! They also have alcohol on the menu now! I ordered a sushi platter for myself and my boyfriend ordered the cold ramen. The ramen was similar to a vermicelli bun with ramen noodles. It wasnt too bad. The sushi was pretty good! The salmon was sooo melty and yummy. The rolls were well made and fresh. One thing that was kind of annoying was that they have implemented iPad ordering. This type of menu works really well for All You Can Eat because you can continue to order for the group and keep it on the table. In this case, my boyfriend took his time checking out the menu, forgetting that I didnt have access to one myself. It’s not good for ordering separate meals for more than 1 person. I would maybe increase my score to a 3.5. While the food was still good, there is something lacking in the experience so I cant name it a «new favourite» just yet.

The Best Ramen in London! Living in Toronto for the past few years has left me feeling spoiled in terms of Ramen restaurants. However searching London for a quality bowl has not been easy. The closest I could find to good ramen was at Sakata Bar and Grill(On Richmond with a similar name) but there was still some left to be desired. Today I thought I would try out this place Sakata Ramen. It replaced Gozen a month or 2 ago. Décor was simple and not over done. The service was excelent and above else the ramen was fantastic. I feel like this ramen stands up to some of the best bowls in Toronto. It is NOT the best ramen I have ever had but it is worth every slurp. Unfortunately I can’t comment on their other offerings as I did not indulge. That being said, if you want to try ramen for the first time or need to kill a craving, this place will do the trick.
