Not all those who wander are lost, and if you happen to have come into some extra cash and would love a mouth watering, visually stimulating piece of steak for second breakfast or dinner… this would be the place to hang your cloak and rest your feet. This particular Keg on Wellington in London, Ontario is my favorite Keg to visit. The ambiance is dark and pleasant and the service is thorough and friendly. Plenty of seating and little to no wait times on a weeknight, a bit more of a wait on weekends. Our steaks were delayed as there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen and we were instantly and apologetically offered a dessert on the house, which is exactly the kind of unexpected service you would wish for in this environment. It’s always been a great dining experience. The thing about steak houses is that if you are low carb, you are truly in your element. The best part of the meal works entirely in your favor and it’s quite easy to substitute the potato for more vegetables. If you are observing a Paleo/Primal diet: I would allow yourself the potato dressed anyway to fit your specifics and ask the server to avoid bringing you the bread. Get a salad with an oil and vinegar based dressing(on the side) and try really hard to not look at the dessert menu.(But that Billy Miner Pie… just might be worth a cheat night). If you are Ketogenic, like myself; also avoid the bread, ask for the salad with no croutons, the caeser salad is perfect just be careful with the lemon. Double up your vegetables, glance fondly at the potato on your dining partners plate, have a glass of keto-approved red wine and enjoy that steak.(Note that you cannot go wrong with the selection of California red wines, and anything from Sterling Vinyards in Napa comes highly recommended.) If you are in the market for an appetizer and you’re all about that cheese, the Mushroom Neptune is a solid choice with all parameters falling under ketogenic macros. My personal favorite is just the simple classic dinner, 6 oz medium. Always cooked to perfection. The teriyaki is good(but be wary of small sugar contents). The prime rib is exquisite as is the filet mignon. Really, no one cooks a steak like the Keg. You really can’t go wrong here, so just accept your fate and come for the meat.

Went to the keg last night with my boyfriend after not having been out in London for a while with eachother as he lives in toronto. We have been to the keg several times and always had a great experience with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. This time was exceptional to the point I thought I should write a review ! The waitress that served us was extremely friendly and educated on everything the menu had to offer, she mentioned to us they actually have a new updated menu with new options now which all sounded great. We had actually already ate so we got a couple apps and ordered some drinks. My boyfriend ordered the double jack and coke and I had the Pinot gringo which was excellent. However when the jack and coke came it did not taste anything like a double or even like there was any jack in the drink. I even tried some and I am not a whisky person I can smell a mile away and even sipping a little is so bitter to me yet when I tried his drink I tasted nothing as well. It’s quite an expensive drink so we figured we should really say something. I believe the manager was there and he gave us the drink on the house ! It was a 21 $ drink ! I thought this was very over the top generous and extremely great customer service, they also replaced the drink as well making a new one which was extremely strong which made my boyfriend very happy. Thank you keg for making our time enjoyable ! We will definitely be back to the keg just for service alone and overall atmosphere! I like the keg because it’s cozy and they have comfortable booths ! I do wish they had a goat cheese salad of some type, as they used to have a goat cheese spread with bread but they took it off the menu and I think replaced it with the bree cheese one. I miss it when it was goat cheese I wish they would bring this back !

Delicious food and the great service. My steak was cooked to perfection and mashed potatoes were mouth-watering. They were pretty busy and still made us feel like we were the only table in there. The waiter was on top of everything and was very humorous.

The service was great the food was not. I am used to consistency with the Keg. I rarely send anything back but in this case my medium rare was medium well. The second steak had no spice and had been cooked on too low of a temp. Not great!

I LOVESTEAK. I am not someone who ever wanted to become a vegetarian, because I think steak is amazing. As it happens, The Keg make the best steak in London. My husband, who wasn’t very big on steaks before, fell in love when he had the filet mignon here. This past valentine’s day, he got himself the king crab and said that it was as is heaven was recreated in his mouth. I get the New York, because it comes in a 12oz and I can pack away meat like it’s going out of style. Protip: Ask for the cheddar garlic butter when they offer you bread. A waiter in Niagra Falls mentioned it once to me, and it was amazing. Like really amazing. As in sometimes, I would add that butter onto my steak.

Nice place, decent bar seating, wait and bar staff were very sweet. Prime rib was very good with horseradish that took my breath away yum. Talked with a guy at the hotel later, taping his truck window. Said he and a few other cars got their contents removed while parked outside the keg. Mental note; keep expensive looking crap in the trunk. I’ll go back.

I used to say that I wasn’t a huge steak fan. However, after the meal here I’m pretty sure it’s due to poorly cooked steaks from my past. I decided to order off their charity special menu so I had a New York cut topped with a butter mushroom gravy and crab. The mix was a hit on my palette. Very flavourful and tender. My bf loved his NY steak as well. Service was attentive without being intrusive and she doubled checked the ordered«doneness» level to avoid problems. We mentioned it was our anniversary so our meal was finished off with a complimentary slice of Billy Miner pie which was a lovely touch.

Came for a good steak dinner and didn’t leave unhappy. I ordered the New York Strip Steak dinner with peppercorn sauce. The steak was so tender, and juicy that I’m salivating just thinking about it now. I ordered it with a twice baked potato which is the best(in my opinion). Salad was spinach and goat cheese which work well together. This is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Everytime I visit Canada, I make sure to include The Keg on my list of things to do(in addition to eating Poutine)

Went to Toronto location years ago and really enjoyed it so decided to stop in London for dinner on the way to Toronto. The apps were good and so was the wine selection. Unfortunately, the meal itself was a fail. First, they got the order wrong. How they could take an order for two prime ribs and bring back one and a New York is beyond me. We were okay with it because of the time, but they then charged us for the more expensive New York which we did not order. Couple that with the worst prime rib I have ever had(it looked like prime rib, but it did not taste like any prime rib I’ve ever had) and I cannot imagine going to any of the Keg locations again.

Only went here once a while ago but it was a very satisfying visit. Started off with the crab, parmesan, and spinach dip which was tasty but a little greasy. For my main, I had the filet mignon(wrapped in smoked bacon) with a twice baked potato and for extra money, a cluster of dungeness crab(at the time, they were having a special crab festival or special or something like that). I also ordered a side of asparagus and everything was first rate, especially the filet mignon which was incredibly moist, juicy, and tender, perhaps the finest steak I’d ever had. The servers were very well trained, always showing up at the right time whenever we needed something and they were very informative when we asked for help at the beginning with our selections(on another note, all of the servers we saw that night seemed to be very attractive which probably doesn’t hurt business). The prices are definitely not bargain basement but you pay good money for quality food, good ambiance, and terrific service.

As well known as the name everyone probably knows this place The only problem for this fine dining /casual /lounge restaurant is sometime the persistence of the food The freshness and always been best, the wine selection are great its only that sometime«just sometime» The food will be slightly over salted but hey everything else ? They’re awesome you get what you pay for Great food great wine great place now you only need to find a great company ;)
