This is the closest theater to my house but its one I try to avoid if I can. If I am going with some friends and my kids are with a babysitter thats fine, but ALL of the kids movies are only playing at like 6−7pm. I would like to take my KIDS to a KIDSMOVIE but they go to bed at 7pm, why would I take them to a movie that starts at 630pm. Its insane. You would think they would cater a bit more for kids when its a kids movie.

I have to go to the bathroom a lot. Especially if I‘m drinking a sugar-laden beverage while out at the movies. And now that I‘ve revealed WAY too much information, let me explain why it‘s relevant. A common failure in cinema design is the placement of bathrooms. Most places in HRM have a bathroom at the entrance to the movie theatres. Which is good for when you‘re going into or leaving a movie. But if it‘s during the movie and you can‘t hold it… well, it can be a long haul from your screen to the bathroom and back. Precious time you don‘t want to waste in case you miss an important plot point or a good joke. This location gets it almost exactly right. Bathrooms in the lobby and more closer to the far end of the theatres. My only gripe is that they should be labelled gender neutral(they‘re both individual bathrooms). As for the rest of the experience: it‘s true this location has succumbed to 3D mania but I still find the selection okay. Staff members are usually in good spirits(even when working on holidays). Bonus: of all the times I‘ve been here(which, admittedly, isn‘t many) it has never been very busy.

I’m so happy to have a theatre in Sackville. Quick and easy commute from home over the hill. My only complaint about this location(regardless of my common complaint for Empire across the board being no more box office and forced to stand in concession lines or use of the ATM version) is that this location seems to never keep movies in theatre long enough and the selection is minimal. I have motion sickness and opt out of 3D movies. This location seems to only ever offer the 3D version if there’s more than one option of any flick currently out forcing us to drive out of our way. Which seems pointless when we live less than a 5 minute drive from this location.
