iRIS Spa & Nails

I went to iRIS for the first time this past weekend and I had a horrible first experience. I contemplated going here because a friend told me that she had been here once before and would never go back, but the reviews online were great. I took the chance and went to see for myself and can say that I will never go back. The reason why I went in the first place is because I needed a Gel manicure and the place I always go to does not do Gel. The lady who did my manicure was VERY nice, but did a sloppy job. Usually, when you are getting a manicure and use the utensil to remove all the dead skin around the nail, you would soak your customers nails first. This lady didn’t even soak my nails and was removing the dead skin from my dry hands. After she had finished applying the chunky Gel to my nails and was about to apply the polish, I noticed that the Gel on my pinky finger was already lifting. I questioned it and told the lady that something doesn’t look right. She took a look at it and said it was fine, so I questioned her again and said I think its lifting (it was so obvious) she then got one of her utensils and checked to see if it was lifting and its completely lifted off without any hassle. Once it came time to paint my nails, I had to repeatedly ask her to make sure she paints my whole nail because I hate when they don’t paint as far down as possible, or the sides of my nail. She kept on saying no problem, but there were still parts of my nails that were left unpainted. I left there with not only chunky, uneven nails, but I also noticed that some of my nails were uneven in length. After being there for over an hour in a half, I didn’t want to sit there any longer and just paid and left. My Gel Shellac Manicure cost me $ 53.00.

Love this place! The staff is super friendly and takes their time to do your nails. My mom gets a message her weekly and comes home so happy and relaxed! Super clean as well always cleaning their products and such. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment!

Mona is such a delight! Very thorough and a fantastic massage. You don’t feel rushed at all. They definitely stress the spa mentality. The semi private rooms for the pedicure are the best, you can actually relax and enjoy. Will definitely be coming back again and again

Love this spa! I have been going to Susan for years for all my waxing needs/​manicures. When she took over ownership at this location, I was so pleased (since it is much closer to home). I can without a doubt say that Susan is one of the sweetest women I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I know some people on here have posted a few not-​so-​great encounters. I believe Susan has only just taken ownership at the end of last summer, and of course had to adjust. I find it surprising she was dubbed as «rude» to a customer. Perhaps there was a miscommunication/​language barrier there. I have recommended numerous family and friends to this place. Of course it is hard to please everyone., especially difficult customers. I guess you need to find out for yourself!
This place is clean and inviting. I always phone ahead of time to make sure they can take me — even if it is just for a manicure. Never make assumptions!

Love this place, very clean and great group of girls just not so big on Susan the new owner. I loved this place when it was run by the old owner as she turned it into a «spa» experience more than your your typical nail salon.
Susan can be rude. I’m a regular and if I happen to walk in without an appointment, she’ll ask what you’re there for and if it’s just a ‘manicure’ you’re likely not getting it done because that’s exactly what happened with me and she didn’t even give me an option of when to return but rather responding we’re booked for the rest of the day, please call next time. I don’t think I’m VIP or anything but if you’re fully booked like you say you are then don’t ask why I’m there because it makes it look like that you will make time for me if I was getting more than a manicure.
It was a huge disappointment but I love the place and will continue to go to Rebecca, kelly and Gina.
