I went to get my eyelashes permed($ 28) a few months ago and waited until it had grown out to give a full review of the experience. The beauty salon is no-frills; when you’re laying down you are staring up at the industrial metal ceiling of the mall with it’s fluorescent lights. The ladies are very nice but I won’t be getting an eyelash perm again; I might try other services though, as she was quite gentle. One eye was done well but the other was curled over and back too far(like a ‘c’ shape) making the lashes actually look shorter, if you can picture it. The curl only lasted a few weeks because the eyelashes fall/grow out. When the lashes grows out it looks pretty uneven(some curled others not) although more than likely it won’t be obvious to most people and you can augment the look with an eyelash curler.

This place has been around for a long time. Since no one has reviewed yet, I will chime in. Unashamedly no-frill, almost the total opposite of «spa» experience. It’s inside the Pacific Mall, a little cube space surrounded by glass walls and doors and no roof, you will hear everything around you from the type of music(and not a good type) played by the next-door clothing store to upstairs hand-pulled noodle restaurant noodle man slapping his dough against a stainless steel table. Of course if there is a Chinese festival or some type of weekend event going on, you get to hear the announcement over PA as well. How multi-tasking efficient! Now onto the service, basic stuff like facials, lash perming and lash extension but they do them well. The esthetician I have been going to is professional, deeply experienced and connects very well with customers. She recommends the right treatment and right product for you, without being overly«selling» pushy. Meticulous eyes and steady hands, it’s a comfort feeling to know that my face is in safe hands; that does more to relax me than water trickling sound effect or candles. They use Maria Galland products. Reasonable prices, especially if you buy pre-paid packages.
In a nutshell, a good place to try if your main objective is to get a proper skin care treatment and be able to do this frequently without breaking the bank. On the other hand, if it is once or twice a year spa experience you are getting for Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, please run in the opposite direction.
