Esso

The Esso on the corner of 404 and Steeles Ave East is easily one of the busiest in Canada. It stands to reason that it is so busy, there is an identical station right across the street to handle all of the traffic.
Recently they updated the Tim Horton’s inside that was in much need of repair. Now it two cashiers instead of the one, and it’s no longer a 20 minute wait to get your morning coffee.
As gas stations go, the reliability is moderate. I have had a handful of occurrences where some if not all of the pumps were not working. Some of these occurrences were during the Tim Horton’s renovation that lasted the bulk of a month.
The staff are decent, nothing to write home about. They used to be better when the previous owners ran the store. They are at least courteous, but they are really concerned about getting you in and out quickly.
Selection is normal for a gas station, a combination of gift cards, salted nuts, and engine fluids. They do have the odd special on washer fluid, but again, nothing to write home about.
Bathrooms are pretty decent, which is a quick way to evaluate any gas station. I still wouldn’t want to touch too much in there. But, it would work in a pinch.

This Esso is the first gas station if you exit 404 Northbound at Woodbine…
Washroom inside is clean. at least clean enough especially you have an emergency.
Prices wise is the same as the other gas stations in the area.
