WM Pet Services & Boutique

I am very satisfied with wm pet services and boutique– the owner always does a great job with my dog. She is always available when I contact her and willing to groom my dog even when it’s pretty late and last minute. She is also responsive so it’s easy to contact her. I can tell she grooms my dog with care because she genuinely cares for them. She also provides dog sitting services. I brought my dog to WM pet services and boutique recently and she looked after my dog overnight with just a few hours notice. She looked after my dog so well and groomed her nicely. I definitely recommend her.

My sister didn’t keep her promise of taking care of my dog’s grooming during my trip to China, so my poodle (Dasha) was shaved prior to my return to spare her the pain of detangling. When I came back, I decided to go there and see how this place was.
Dasha seemed to know the lady working there immediately, from what I can see was a positive association. There’s a huge black lab chilling in the waiting area, I made friends with him, he was well disciplined.
She quoted me a higher price than she did with my parents. I asked her how long it would trim Dasha, she said around three hours. I don’t understand how it takes that long to do any dog unless it were up for a show. I tried to get her down to an hour and a half. She said she’ll try. I left, drove around Markham, grabbed lunch at Pacific Mall from the vendor I’ve been ordering food from since I was 16 years old. Come to think of it, it’s actually Market Village. I can never remember that name of that vendor, so I can never review it.
I came back 1.5 hours later, she said she’s gonna need another hour. Damn dawg. I mean it’s just a trip. A continental clip (the round poofs) takes an hour. What is this rule with every groomer taking 3 hours to clip every dog? Is it because the idea of giving DOGS a haircut as ridiculous as it sounds? I mean, if you think about it… it’s absolutely crazy. We are taking a genetic hybrid that was bred from wolves in the wild, domesticating it for our leisure, and giving that animal a haircut every two month. It sounds absolutely insane. And you’d have to be insane to pay such a high price for this service. Therefore, for the people who provide this service to justify such a price for this insane ritual, they much take as much time as possible doing it, so that the customers don’t feel ripped off. OMG!
How many three hours do I have in a day?
I spend two of them sleeping, then another one to get up and do my morning ablutions and get to where I need to be in order to make my life function. That’s 9 hours. Maybe I trade one or two of the ablution hours for sleep… but they’re gone.
I only get one for lunch, and from the end of the work day to dinner that’s like another three hours, way less if you have a kids. That’s 12 hours.
For some people it varies, and they work way longer that that.
How much time do you get to do what you actually want to do? Like watch tv, surf online, walk your dog, have sex with other people. These things take time.
Now it’s the weekend and thank God you finally have more hours, but NO.
You gotta take you dog for its ridiculous haircut, and it’s three God damn hours. Somehow you must find things to do between the three hours, but the commute takes away more time, so you don’t actually get three hours, more like an hour and half. And for that, you’re out a conservative estimate of $ 80.
NO! NO NO NO NO NOOO!
A dog haircut takes tops one hour! TOPS!
Two hours if it’s a really hairy dog!
Anyway, the groomer did a good job after three hours, and Dasha looked as beautiful as a poodle can look.
There’s toys and accessories for small dogs for purchase, dog magazines dating back to my mohawk, and one pink lounge to sit on.
I do recommend this place… if you got all day.
