What a nice find! We stopped for drinks yesterday in this pleasant former library building. The ambiance was pleasant, even romantic. We had great local craft beers and had a delicious baked squash soup and awesome sweet potato gnocchi. We liked it so well we returned for dinner the next evening. They accommodated my girlfriend’s vegan palate with a nice balked squash and greens salad and a leek risotto accompanied by fresh crisp vegetables. I had their house salad, very nicely presented in a «bowl» of thinly sliced ribbons of cucumber. My risotto was topped by a decidedly non-vegan grilled salmon with a delicious dill cream sauce. And all of it was served by a friendly, efficient and very helpful server. I liked that she overheard us discussing vegan possibilities and asked the chef what they could do before she came for our order.

Last year i had a pasta dish and it was excellent. Tonight i decided to try the steak and it was alright. If i see a rib-eye on the menu i expect and excellent steak, but i was somewhat disappointed. It was alright, but that was it. Nothing special. I’ve had better at home. Next time i will stick to the pasta.

This place has a new chef and we loved it. Visited after taking the river tour of all the islands. I had the pappardelle with vegetables and would love the recipe! There were four of us and we all loved our food. We would visit again if we travel to Canada again.

Nice athmosphere, very friendly staff. Not cheap but top quality food. I had salmon and it was delicious. The average age of the guests is 50+. The only minus was that they Don’t offer a good espresso after the wonderful meal. But that was all. Enjoy the Dinner in this nice restaurant. Btw: I am form germany and maybe we have a different point of view when we go to a restaurant.

Food was great but my husband can make the same steak at home and I’ll get more then two little potatoes with it lol what a joke. If my man couldn’t make a good steak I would go back and I think they use the same steak spice. Tasted the same

The food was generally good and the environment is comfortable. I was pleased that they understood how to handle gluten-free dining, and were also willing to be creative with vegetarian meals. The downside is that I found the cost of dining here somewhat high based on what we received. It’s worth giving it a try.

A Where To Eat In Canada star in the doorway raises hope;after a bad experience with former management . Well All stars that glitter are not gold, This was Wretched. Lunch: Flavourless greasy steak, greasy soggy fries, flavorless white bread bland background to purée veg soup overpowered by cheap dried herbs .Ugh.
