Leanne’s. You’ve been around longer than I can remember. I think, today, you’re the only bar left standing in Millet. I don’t even know who you’re named after. But I’ve had many a drunken night in your midst. There’ve been some heavy nights, like the night me and my friends came to you after my brother’s funeral. Yet, there’ve been some random nights too… like how me and my friend Colleen popped in a couple of years later to enjoy some good ol’ Millet memories. And then there are the just normal, «well, it’s the only bar in Millet» kind of times… like a couple of Fridays ago. My step brother and I stopped in because our 12:30am flight to Mexico was delayed another hour and a half. We could hang out at the house… or we could’ve gone for a beer? Guess what we opted for? Don’t expect anything more from Leanne’s than you would of any small town bar. The beer is relatively cheap, but it’s cheap beer. Looking for craft ales? You won’t find them here. There wasn’t even any Big Rock on tap… and that’s already a pretty well established Alberta Brand(*cough* ahem, Leanne’s… get in some Big Rock, would ya?). Food? I don’t know about the food. I think it’s alright. I’ve never really heard anyone complain about it, but I’ve never really heard of anyone heading here for the food either. The draw? Cheap beer. A pool table. VLTs. Maybe karaōke night.
