This was just my experience. I presented them with a pretty big challenge. I had not been to a dentist in 10yrs due to lack of benefits and minimum wage employment. I had many cavities and wisdom teeth that should have come out yrs ago. Dr. Sugar and her hygienist did wonders with what they had to work with… First complaint here — one of the fillings she did had a sharp pin like dagger left on it. I went back as it was catching my tongue and causing pain. They looked and smoothed something(as she said she didn’t see anything) but in the end I chipped it off at home with a nail file. Complaint 2 — I have limited benefits and have begged and pleaded with them to stay with in them as I cannot afford any extra. Only to get to the reception desk after and be told I owed money. The final straw being my last visit. I had booked this appointment at my last and asked the receptionist several times«you’re sure this is all covered by my benefits?» She assured me yes except maybe 18 $ for something or other. Well at the end of that appointment I owed almost $ 350… When I questioned the receptionist she claimed to never have told me I would only have to pay $ 18… Complaint 3 — I hope she really works on this. The receptionist is not very pleasant… I don’t care to elaborate. I am sure I play a part in my poor experience. I’m sure she has many client who love her and have great experiences there. This wasn’t a good fit for me.

I had a dental cleaning over a year ago. Dr. Sugar had told me that one tooth, a molar, had too many ridges and suggested that I smoothen out that tooth to prevent cavities. I had the procedure done. Since that procedure, I haven’t been able to eat with the left side of my mouth. The dental assistant told me to just wait it out. To summarize, Dr. Sugar ruined my molar tooth.

I’ve been getting a lot of mileage out of my dental plan lately, with bad teeth and my ex job benefits soon to run out. I have had good experiences with Milton Family Dental. Whenever I have a significant procedure, Dr. Sugar(and isn’t that the cutest name for a dentist?) will call me up in the evening to make sure it went ok. That’s service. If you ask, they’ll also call you if a cancellation opens up a slot for you. See? Service. Yeah, my face is sore. I had a crown put in. But they’re a good oral health establishment.
