I found this place while researching for a solution to keep my brand new Honda Accord as rust free as possible since I generally keep my cars till they die…
When I bought my last previous new vehicle, I went with the dealer rustproofing which was not cheap but my vehicle still rusted after 10 years… perhaps I am asking too much in our salt ridden winter roads for a rust free car!
I settled on doing an annual or bi-​annual rust spray instead and discovered a company called Rust Cure which was different from their other main competitors in that the spray they used was not so watery that it constantly dripped on my driveway for up to a week. The Rust Cure spray was thicker and didn’t drip in the same way so they recommend an 18 month interval instead of annual reapplication. Another plus was they didn’t need to drill holes in my new car!
They managed to access the interior of door by popping open several seals and gaskets.
Of course, the best rust prevention spray system can be compromised by a lazy technician. Here, the owner Yohan is definitely a very thorough and detailed person when it comes to applying the spray. He even removed the 4 rims and got underneath the wheelwell!
He went through the engine compartment popping out the various plactic shrouds and spraying every inch. Did I say he was very through?
Time will tell if this is the ultimate solution in our quest to maintain a rust free vehicle… Check this review when I will report back in a few years!
