Welcome to Heritage Orthodontics and Dr. J. Eric Selnes, a long-​time presence in the orthodontic community. Located in Mississauga and Georgetown, Ontario, Canada, our orthodontic practice’s top priority is to provide you with the highest quality orthodontic care in a friendly, comfortable environment. We provide quality orthodontic care to residents in the Mississauga and Georgetown communities as well as patients in Oakville, Milton, Acton, Guelph and North Brampton. We utilize the latest technological advances, such as invisible clear ceramic braces, self-​ligating braces, Incognito or Harmony (inside braces) and Invisalign (as a Premier Provider Elite). As well, we have integrated the latest in computer technology (digital X-​rays and advanced computer graphics) to ensure that you receive the most effective diagnosis and treatment possible.

Business Owner

Dr. Selnes graduated as the Gold Medalist in the BA/​BPHE program from Queen’s University in 1988. He went on to complete a National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) sponsored Fellowship in Biomechanics from Queen’s University for which he received a Master’s of Science (MSc) (1990).

Having not had enough of academia, Dr. Selnes went on to complete his Dental degree (DDS), where he graduated Omicron Kappa Upsilon from the University of Toronto (1994). Dr. Selnes then spent a year as a Dental Resident at The Hospital for Sick Children before completing his residency specialty training in Orthodontics (D. Ortho) at the University of Toronto in 1997. He remained affiliated with the Orthodontic and Craniofacial Department at The Hospital for Sick Children while completing his research.

Dr. Selnes most recently passed all the examinations leading to the award of «Fellow» by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD (C)).
