June Lawrence School of Dance Inc. is committed to providing high-quality dance classes to enhance the overall development of our students. We provide a safe and family-centered environment to encourage our students to explore dance with qualified, motivating teachers.
We believe that dance training encourages youth and adults to develop a positive self-image as they increase awareness of their physical being. Along with improving coordination skills and developing muscular awareness, dance classes give students the freedom to express themselves through movement.
We provide opportunities for our students to perform and engage with the community.
The highest educational standards are expected from all June Lawrence School of Dance Inc. faculty members. They are lifelong learners who continue to educate themselves through certification programs, teacher-training schools, conferences, and other learning opportunities.
History
Established in 1985.
Our facility has three large dance studios equipped with wooden sprung floor, barres, mirrors, bright walls and high ceilings. An environment designed to inspire our students! Our front entrance is at street level with a security-access front door that opens into our spacious reception area. Our student waiting room has a fridge, micro waves and lunch area available for student use. Our change room provides space for our students’ dance bags and coats while our reception provides comfortable seating for waiting parents.

Mrs. June Lawrence is a graduate of York University with an Honours Degree in Fine Arts (Dance Major) and is a Full Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association, Ballet and Stage Divisions. Mrs. Lawrence has served on the Ballet, Stage and Executive Committees of the CDTA in addition to her role as Ballet and Stage Examiner. She is also proud to be a member of The Canadian Dance Masters Association. As part of her continuing education, Mrs. Lawrence attends workshops, seminars and conferences both locally and internationally.
