Lake Pearl Nails & Spa

The previous salon I went to butchered my acrylic overlay and subsequent infill. So I hunted for a new salon. Lake Pearl is a gem in Mississauga! My friend and I were greeted by a friendly gentleman who was very helpful.
May did a great job in evening out the old acrylic and making the infill and overlay look as natural as possible — not bulky. She took her time and was very detail oriented with the lacquer application and design. May did my pedicure which was fabulous as well! I ended up getting an eyebrow wax and it was also very well done. Definitely coming back with my friend and I will be telling others about how great this place is!
It may be worth going in the middle of the day (12pm-​3pm) like i did when it’s less busy. Just a heads up! I can see such a great business getting packed during the after work rush.

I was surprised when the spa called me a week later. Probably because of the Unilocal review I posted.
They said they realize that I wasn’t happy with the previous job they did and would like to invite me back to get it done right.
I came back the next day, and another guy attended me. It started all good, everything looked fine but when I asked for the shimmers/​glitters on certain nails, they ended up looking like hamburger buns again. So thick and uncomfortable.
I mentioned it to the guy and he didn’t seem impressed, grabbed my hand and filed everything off.
When he did it a second time, u can tell he was very impatient and did an even worse job which he later tried to fix up but it was beyond repair so he redid one nail for the third time.
I updated my review because I think it’s good customer service to invite me back, bug I really can’t appraise them on their skills.
A basic manicure or shellac/​biogel is okay, however anything with a slight design seems beyond their skill level.

The only place I will EVER go for nails. Amazing service and kind staff, I got the shellac pedicure. I usually don’t tip more than $ 5 but I tiped $ 30! They really took their time and massaged my leg until the knee. Im called in advance and they had my water ready. I was not expecting such amazing service. The shellac stayed on my nails for 4 months without a chip. So many compliments. I tried another nail salon closer to my home that also got good ratings but that shellac pedicure lasted less than half the time these did. It’s quite far from me but it really is worth it. I’d give it 7 stars. NOTE ALWAYS PAY CASH the machine charges a lot more

⁹⁄₁₀ I go to LPN, I decided to go to a place located in Sheridan Centre, I was very disappointment. I went to LPN and I usually get the guy, Tony (I think his name is) but he wasn’t there, instead it was a older lady. I wanted her to file down a previously horrible job and make them longer… which would’ve been very simple, no, she decided to take them all off, and really a fresh set, I paid $ 90, it was my birthday weekend so I wasn’t thinking but looking back at it now, I was scammed & I won’t be returning at all. (She didn’t even to a good job, it wasn’t filed down properly & was very lumpy under the polish).

I used to come to this place all the time. I took a 6 month break to let my nails grow back after I removed the shellac and my nails were a mess. They were brittle, thin and yellow. Of course I’m not blaming LPN, as that is what happens when you cover your nail for 8 months with thick polish.
Anyhow, went back the other day and of course made an appointment before. They took me as soon as I got there. I chose my color and we were off. I used to always get the same sweet young lady but she wasn’t there on this day. The lady who did my nails didn’t engage me, but spoke in her language and I’m almost certain she was making fun of me based on the hushed giggling. Normally I would dismiss that, but my nails weren’t too perfect either. There was a little hair on one that she just painted down and now there is a bump.
The hand massage was rushed and the lotion was smelly. I am not certain that I will return here after my experience, but I occasionally give places a second chance. There is a place closer to my house that I may try from now on. We shall see!

I go to this nail place because it is very close to my house. The prices and quality of work is okay but I find them a little on the rude side. If you don’t go along with what they have planned for your nails then they roll their eyes, get snippy, or talk in their language to another technician and laugh. Very RUDE! have some respect for your PAYING customers. If I find another good place nearby I’m going to switch. oh and by the way maybe you shouldn’t advertise services that you don’t provide or credit cards that you don’t take.

Thirty eight bucks for mani Pedi. Wow.
I’m keeping this one short. They did a good job for the money. It was a little quick for my liking but I would go back just because of the thirty eight dollar price. :-).

Went to lake pearl just yesterday to get the full set of acrylics done. When you walk in you are greeted immediately, not very warmly though but I couldn’t careless because I LOVE my nails. I’ve been there twice now, first time was meh but this time it was pretty great. They told me the price ($ 25 dollars for a full set, extra 5 if you want it longer), I think the pricing is pretty tread considering some places charge over 25. They didn’t push products on to me or anything, he asked if I wanted to do shellac but I said no so he was like oh ok you can choose your nail colour. No recommending I should do this or that, so that was really great. The first young guy that did my nails was kind of rushing (he has glasses on… idk his name), his filing was sloppy and some nails were uneven and he could tell I was unhappy about it so he paid more attention. Acrylic application was super good and fast, took about 10 minutes. Around that time more people came so I has to be moved and passed onto other nail technician which I totally understand. The second nail technician also a young guy, paid MUCH more attention to detail, he saw the unevenness and immediately filed it down so I was pretty happy about that. The third person that I got was a lady, she was super nice and painted the rest of my nails and dried them for me. Overall, the experience was decent, my nails makes up for it though so I gave them a 4 star. Would’ve been 5 but there were little mistakes on my nails, they don’t look perfect. But I LOVE THEM. Will definitely come back when I need a refill.

Went to this place for the first time last week. Booked an appointment and I still had to wait 20 minutes when I got there so for that reason I will give them 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, the lady who did my manicure and pedicure was very detailed and did an amazing job! The place looks clean and their foot and hand massage is great! I will definitely go back!

Tried this place coz the other one i went to wasn’t open. Henry did my Shellac manicure. He is great with attention to detail. Listened to how I wanted my nails done and knew exactly what to do. Price wise, I’m very happy with. Will definitely come back here for all my Mani/​pedi needs!

I found this place by Unilocal!it’s a great place to make me happy for nails .I enjoy Pedicure and Manicure Shellac .The price is reasonable .Nail technician did a great job .I love my nails with Matte Top coat Gel and Sparkle on ring fingers.

I have never written a review in my life but I feel like one is needed for this place. I just got my nails done here a little over an hour ago and had an amazing first experience. Tony was incredibly attentive and professional and gave me exactly what I wanted. The bio-​gel set I received looks amazing and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Thanks Tony/​Pearl Lake!

Two words describe my recent experience at Lake Pearl: rushed job. It felt like they wanted to get me in and out as quickly as possible, as there were one or two waiting customers. But be that as it may, it is no excuse for mediocre service.
I’m upset about a few missteps on the part of my manicurist. Twice he clipped my skin when removing the cuticles of my nails, which caused minor bleeding. The first time he ignored it, until I commented that it hurt. He then put some sort of liquid on the cut and apologised. That could have easily been avoided with care.
After a speed run through my pedicure, he placed a scalding hot towel over my legs and feet. When I said it was too hot, he made no move to replace the towel, just lifting it for a brief second before pressing it back on my skin. I like a hot towel as much as anyone, but when someone says it’s too hot you listen!
The last was an overall lack in customer service. For example, I had to request a touch up after I accidentally smudged one of my nails. He obliged, but had no luck finding the colour among the rack of polishes. He then asked me to try. When I was searching, he turned to his colleague and said «she can’t find it!» Well, yes it will take me more than a second to find a specific red among a sea of reds! I did not appreciate the snarky comment, as it was very unprofessional and off-​putting. You shouldn’t make a habit of talking about your customers, ESPECIALLY to their faces!
I can look past the paper towel toe separators and the massage chairs in disrepair, but honestly I have never had such a rushed, rude and poor experience at a nail salon. And no, I don’t want you to question my desire for a simple mani pedi instead of the exorbitant shellac or bio gel nails. I will never return here.

Please note date of previous reviews. Nancy and Andy have left. It WAS a great place with good service and talent. Can’t say too many good things about the new owners. Their prices have increased, they now use that bathroom type brown paper towel as toe separators. They charge you tax even though you paid cash, they say they don’t have any «coin» change, so you’re either forced to up your tip or go the the corner store and get change. Have to find another place.

The BEST place to get your nails done in Mississauga. Booked an appointment & was promptly helped right when I came in! No waiting! Henry did my nails & he was very detail oriented. They have a great variety of shellac nail colours! My new favorite spot to get my nails done!

Decided to check out Lake Pearls after all the raving reviews and pictures. I booked an appointment for me and my friend just in case they were busy. Good thing I did because the nail salon was very busy when we arrived. We had to wait about 10 minutes before we were next.
I decided to get a shellac manicure with an art design and pedicure. My friend got the pedicure. I am quite satisfied with my manicure but wish the nail art was better. The hearts weren’t the greatest and I didn’t want to ask the nail guy to redo it since he tried three times. My pedicure was decent but I noticed that my left big toe started bleeding on the side.
I spent about $ 58 (including a tip) for a shellac manicure and pedicure combo. I was expecting better nail art after seeing all the pictures and paying $ 5 for it. Maybe I’ll be back…

I love this place, decided to check them out after reading the reviews on here and so glad I did.

Found this place on here and decided to give it a try… the prices were quite reasonable. Everyone was very friendly. especially Andy! He is quite the joker! It made my first experience there a great one and I will surely be returning.

Best nail salon in MISSISSAUGA by far! Found this place via Unilocal and although there was only 1 review the many many photos sold me! It says on this account that it’s appointment only, but they take walk ins!
Made my appointment on Friday afternoon for saturday morning at 10am when they open. I thought if I could get there early before the saturday rush Id be okay. Obviously I woke up late and got to my appointment for 10:15 to walk into a beautiful and clean nail salon with 4 other patrons! I was so shocked. They had just opened 15 mins ago and they already had 4 people in the shop!!! I proceeded with my pedicure and then a full set of biogel nails.
Pedicure– very thorough! A full 45 min of relaxation and almost a full 15 min leg massage with a scrub! Most nail salons do a quick scrub on your foot up to your shins but here; they go all the way up to your knee! Amazing! Especially for someone like me who work long hours on my feet in heels!
Biogel set– Amazingly beautiful! I enjoyed every bit of it, while I watched the Brit awards and The voice on the TV Monitor! (Refer to photo!)
The owner; Nick was very hospitable and made me feel super comfortable and welcomed. He got out of his way to ask me how my experience was throughout my session! So nice and 5 star service! I really appreciated him using my name every time he greeted me!
I WILL BE GOONG BACK FOR A REFILL AND FOR ANY OTHER NAIL RELATED THINGS! So happy! You will not be disappointed

A friend of mine let me know about Lake Pearl Nails which is situated right beside Mickey’s Pizza and I’m so glad that she told me about it. The staff are very friendly and super duper nice. The nail salon is clean. Most importantly, they took good care of my nails and I felt pampered when I left. I decided to get a shellac manicure with a bit of nail design and a regular pedicure. Lana was AMAZING and super patient as it took me a while to figure out what it was that I wanted. She gave great suggestions and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I’m excited to find this gem of a salon in the neighbourhood!
