I don’t play pool but my boyfriend does so we were looking for a place to tuck ourselves in a corner, play a couple of games, some practice for me and a couple of clear the table games for my boyfriend. When searching for a new pool hall, Monte Carlo Billiards came up as a suggestion and we opted to check it out. Located in a strip mall, if can be a bit tough to find but once you are inside, it was a welcoming place. Checked in to get a table, when I hesitated about a table in the middle of the room, the hostess noted a table was clearing in the back room and kindly helped us snag that table. We ordered drinks and appetizers, both arrived quickly and were decent bar food. Prices are reasonable and would order again. We ended up playing for a couple of hours, easy to cash out when we were finished and a reasonable bill considering the food, bar tab and playing time.

I normally go to Captain’s or Wacky Wings to play pool, both of which are nearby. I’m surprised I had never heard of this place prior to seeing it on Groupon. I purchased a Groupon for $ 15, which included 2 hours of pool for 2 people and $ 10 toward appetizers. Monte Carlo is located just east of Dundas and Dixie, but is not visible from the main roads, which made it hard to find. It’s located in a fairly old strip mall that I usually drive by without giving a second glance. The bar itself is an older looking establishment, but very well kept. There are many pool tables and a handful of snooker tables that take up the large space, which consists of one long main room, and two smaller rooms. The staff were accommodating when I informed them that I had a Groupon. They even gave us a reminder when we had 5 minutes left in our promotional 2 hour limit, which was very nice of them. The drinks here are decently priced, with a beer costing about $ 3.50. The appetizers are decently priced as well, but don’t expect anything special. I ordered the jalepeno poppers and they were clearly just heated from a frozen state, with some being colder than others. While the food was just alright, the actual pool tables were quite good! The tables are well kept, and ours didn’t have any rips or bumps that would’ve impacted our game. There was ample space between tables, so at no point did we ever feel cramped for space. The cues are also decent and plentiful. I’d definitely recommend this place to others for those who want a pure pool experience. For a night out, I’d still recommend Wacky Wings because the food and entertainment is incomparable.

If your looking for a fun night with friend with no loud music this is the place to be. The drink and food are great and the staff are really nice. I came with my friends cause i had a groupon and wanted to try it out. it was worth it. Even after the 2 hours were up we stayed longer(paid of course) and had a great time. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

The outside looked a little bit sketchy, but the facility itself is well kept. I came here with my boyfriend using a Groupon deal they have(17 $ before tax for two hours of pool and 10 $ toward food and drinks). Regular price would’ve been 9.50 $ per hour for two people, so it’s still reasonable. Facility — very spacious, there were about 14 billiard tables and about 9 snooker tables. The cues were good quality and my bf was very impressed with them. If pool isn’t your thing, there’s some dart boards available. Food — we got onion rings(~5 $) and garlic bread(~4 $). The proportions are huge, you definitely get a bang for your buck and the onion rings tasted good but nothing special. The garlic bread was just okay. Overall — I’d definitely recommend that place. The employees were very friendly and approachable, customers were also friendly, overall the atmosphere and ambiance was great.
