Amusement 2000 Plus

C’est un centre d’arcade qui est là depuis un bon moment. En relations aux Game Center du Forum, cet endroit est moins dispendieux et présente de nombreux jeux similaire.
Les boissons coûtes 1.50 $. C’est donc surtout un endroit pas cher. 20 $ m’a donné assez de jetons pour finir 2 jeux de gun au complet et plusieurs games de Pinball. ils ont deux machines de Pinball et il fait un peu noir je trouve pour bien voir ta bale mais sinon c’est pas si pire. Et je suis d’accord: Ce n’est pas un endroit pour les enfants. Ça sent le cannabis dans la place, le monde à l’air un peu vieux et louche.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty which was good. The 3 of us shared the 40 tokens in about 40 min. The machines look pretty new so functioned very well. The person who worked there looked pretty bored and was not trying to be super friendly when we were buying tokens but it’s fine I guess it’s a boring job for him. The machines are well organized. Cheap and fun! Please keep it open!

This arcade was super fun and super cheap. You get 40 tokens with $ 10 and each game usually requires 3 tokens so you get almost 13 games or so. Not too crowded, but then again I went in the afternoon. A good selection of arcade games such as Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, Terminator, Dance Dance Revolution. Most games have multiplayer options. Great place for some fun time. Only downside was the bathroom (try to avoid) ande noise (REALLY loud).

I love going here because it’s one of the only arcades I know around here. It’s pretty small but still has a good amount of games. It’s quite messy in the back because it has a few boxes. I feel like this place needs more games, since the majority of them are racing games (it doesn’t bother me that much though) Overall, it’s okay.

I can’t believe this place still exists. A dying breed for sure, even if it doesn’t have the coolest games.

The employee when I purchased tokens was quite snarky. We played one game on one machine and had fun. On the next game my partner put in four coins, I put in four coins, it asked for four more, I put in four more, and it broke. I asked if there was anything they could do, and the employee said no, too bad. Between the two games (only one of them playable) we used up twenty tokens. There is a sign that says no refunds, but I assumed this meant you cannot sell back unused tokens, not if a machine breaks and eats 12 of your tokens they’ll do nothing. We didn’t bother buying more.

I wanted to share the old-​school arcade experience with my 9 years old son and sadly, there isn’t much places anymore where you can play arcades in Montréal. I ended-​up picking this place, and we spent a solid 2 ½ hours playing with 80 tokens for $ 20. A lot of car/​race type games, but overall, it does miss some varieties (very low on sports game). Most games are in between 2 to 3 tokens.
Overall, it was a great experience, my son had a blast, but deep down, I know it could be enhanced and better :-)

Je suis aller, Super place pour s’amuser des heures pour 5 $ tu as 20 jetons et pour 20 $ tu as 80 jetons! Les machine prend environs 3 jetons par games! Pour le types d’age c’est toutes les age de 8ans a 50ans ferme dans les environ de 3h am !! Tu as des jeux de course de 1 a 4 personne qui peuve jouer dans la meme course, il y a Street Fither vi sa aussi sa peut jouer juste cas 4 personne en meme temps!!! Des jeux gun des jeux tu peux gagner des prix des distributrise pour boire au manger quel que chose a un prix abordable! 8.5÷10

Went here after a disappointing experience at Foonzo. This place has an arcade-​y feel and really takes you back. They do a good job organizing the games — they put all the pinball machines together, sort of split up the racing games, and have the music and shooting games near the back.
The prices are very reasonable. $ 20 for 85 tokens, and a lot of machines are only 2 – 3 tokens per player. That’s less than a dollar per play! Some of the machines already had tokens in them, so that saved us a lot as well.
We had a lot of fun with the games. Beware of the X-​Men pinball machine, as the layout is poorly designed. My boyfriend is skilled with pinball machines, and it was too easy to have it drop in the middle. The crowd at Amusements 2000 seem cool, as he played against 3 other strangers in one of the racing games. Friendly competition really makes the arcade fun!
In regards to personal possessions, you do have to watch out. My boyfriend and I placed our stuff in front of us, or held onto it. I’m unsure about the staff, but a young guy working there handed our tokens in apathy. I have yet to experience a coin being swallowed by the machine, and how the staff handles it.
But overall this arcade has a good selection of games, and an interesting group of people. Definitely recommend going to it… just pay attention to your stuff!

One of the only arcades in MTL. I come here every birthday /​bad night to play Buck Hunt and nail some high scores. Friendly staff and fantastic game selection.

Je peux vous dire un secret? Je n’ai jamais vraiment aimé les arcades tant que ça quand j’étais enfant. Je comprenais le concept mais je gagnais rarement, donc je perdais intérêt assez vite. C’est seulement depuis quelques années que j’ai commencé à aimer ça et ça adonne que mon chum est un fan de jeux vidéos. On est arrêté au Amusement 2000 Plus par hasard un soir, interpellés par les lumières et la musique. Le coût par jeux est vraiment raisonnable. Pour 5 $ on a joué pendant environ 20 minutes à un total de 5 jeux chacun. On est pas si bon que ça, mais on aime ça! La seule chose étrange de cet endroit, c’est probablement le gars qui était là pour passer sa soirée à danser au Dance Dance Revolution qui était si bien équipé qu’il avait emmené une service pour essuyer sa sueur. Un peu dégeu. Mais bon, au moins c’est divertissant!

My SO brought to Amusement 2000 plus during some downtime we had before our dinner reservations. It has been years since I have played in an arcade and it was a bit nostalgic hanging out at Amusement 2000. Tokens were 50% off, so you get twice as many to play. Most games were 2 tokens. We spent about a good hour playing a few games and we were entertained. The place is small and we had to wait to play a few games.
I would definitely recommend this arcade if you are in the Saint Catherines area. It is on the main strip and the location can not be missed. Play on!

Je né connais rien aux jeux vidéo et la seule console que je n’ai jamais eu est un Super Nintendo. Toutefois, chaque fois que je vois les publicités des jeux d’aujourd’hui, dont les graphiques sont à couper le soufflé, je me dis qu’il doit être amusant d’essayer ces jeux. Aussi, je me suis permis, en passant devant cette arcade de la rue Sainte-​Catherine Ouest, de convertir mon change en jetons et de jouer aux arcades. Je sais que les jeux proposés sont probablement plus vieux que ceux qui sont commercialisés pour la Xbox et la PlayStation, mais je les ai trouvé déjà pas mal plus évolué que les jeux comme Mortal Combat de l’époque du Super Nintendo. Quoi qu’il en soit, deux dollars né durent vraiment pas longtemps dans cette arcade, où plusieurs jeux nécessitent d’insérer à nouveau des jetons pour éviter de repartir du début lorsqu’on est «game over». Bref, pour se défouler durant quelques minutes, cette arcade remplit son rôle.
