Retro Vie Vintage Furniture

This is a great vintage furniture store tucked away on St. Catherine Est. A little bit hard to find, as the sign on the front is an old electronics store sign.
This store has the best prices on industrial furniture in Montréal. If you are looking for an industrial hint in your décor, this is a very affordable option. There is also Style Labo on St. Laurent, which has wonderful pieces as well, but their prices tend to be 2 – 3 times as much as Retro Vie.
The lady who owns the store, Vanessa, is very kind and helpful. She can deliver as well, for very very reasonable rates.
This shop also does restorations and reupholstery of old furniture on site. I don’t think they offer this service to the public, but this means that they’re always bringing in great new pieces, both very antique and restored as well.
Her selection is pretty wide. A lot of her wares are authentic industrial pieces from old factories (very neat), but she also has great art deco pieces as well as shabby chic pieces. She also has some very neat knick-​knacks here and there. last time I was there, she had an old insurance salesman’s notebook, it was about 80 years old. Even cute industrial staplers. I love this place.
