Chico’s 2 in 1 Fried Chicken ‘N’ Pizza specializes in delicous pan pizzas as well as great tasting fried chicken. Chicos is known for their great tasting, fresh «non-​greasy» chicken and is known as the «best chicken and pizza in town».

Chicos has a wide range of menu options, including ribs and pastas; burgers and fries; wings and salads.

All menu items offered at Chico’s are made fresh in the store with special seasonings and spices.

Deliverys are provided as of 11:00a.m. until ½ hour before closing in all areas of Nanaimo.

History

Established in 1990.

Chicos, on Bowen Road, was first opened in the 90’s by Jim Zacharopolous. Chicos in Nanaimo was the first franchise store. Locations were opened in other areas of the island, but due to unforseen circumstances, closed shortly after.

It was in the late 90’s when John and Laurie Reinhard owned and operated Chicos to the fullest extent and created a strong, loyal clientele in Nanaimo and surrounding areas. Passerby’s ranging from Victoria through Campbell River would stop by to enjoy the famous chicken and pizza.

From 2006 to 2007, Chicos was operated by the Goh family, until further opportunities arose for them.

Chicos had the doors closed for a few months, and it was not until March 2008 — when Sony Mehta reopened the restaurant.

Currently, the restaurant is open 7 days per week and delivers from opening until ½ before closing time to all Nanaimo residents. «Debit at your Door» is readily available.

Sony has been a Nanaimo resident since 1997. Prior to re-​opening Chico’s 2 in 1 Fried Chicken ‘N’ Pizza in March 2008, Sony was the Junior Assistant Manager at Quality Foods on Bowen Road.

Working a few doors down from Chico’s for over 10 years, Sony was sure that the clientele and reputation of Chico’s was well known in Nanaimo as he was a customer of the restaurant himself.

Sony is married and has 2 kids who are both looking forward to helping him run the restaurant. He aims to ensure that customer service is number one and that all customers and happy and satisfied with their food.
