Boston Pizza

Came in for a group work event. There was a table reserved for 15 people. The reservation was booked the same day and the girl on the phone was hesitant to approve the reservation due to short notice.
We showed up as the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th and everyone else came a few at a time.
Our table was in the bar, over the course of the night there were about 20 other patrons in the restaurant, with two tables in the dining room occupied.
We ordered a platter and drinks as soon as the server came over, a few minutes after we arrived. We were served quite slowly. Our appetizer platter took 45 minutes and was served with our meals.
Some of our party were overlooked as they arrived for drinks. Refills were upon request only and were not quick on the delivery.
The food was delicious, and the server was very nice. If it had been a busier night, I could understand the slow service… but there were 4 other tables of 2 each and 3 servers in our section.
I likely will not return.

Boston Pizza has been at the subject of criticism in the media. This location was featured in the Ottawa Sun because they didn’t accommodate a family with a child with autism. How the manager handled the situation was just wrong. They are also hard on their employees, which is wrong too. I will not support a place that doesn’t treat their workers properly. I will continue to avoid this establishment until it is properly managed.

Brutally slow service. Like really, really bad. The server screwed up our order and had by our count maybe five tables but was MIA most of the night. She confessed she was «tired» from blood work…

Not totally horrible, but not worth the cost.

Considering this is a fairly large Canadian chain of pizza/​pasta family restaurants, it’s pretty good, there is a varied menu, with some interesting Asian dishes, good appetizers, and good service. You have the choice to sit in the dinning room, or the sports bar, the later being a good place to come to watch a sporting event with their many large screens. They also have a good patio for those nice summer days.
You can count on a Boston Pizza to be good, just don’t expect pizza nirvana
