Starbucks

Compared to other starbucks, this one has by far been the worst I’ve been to. Why?
The barristas (with some exceptions) are always in a bad mood and quite curt. They almost never acknowledge you at the bar, never smile, and they seem to hate giving out soymilk or lactose free milk or doing anything additional. They don’t fill up your coffee the whole way (I’m talking like ¼ less full than I’m used to) and just generally have grumpy vibe. Maybe it’s because they’re the morning staff but I mean come on… It’s obvious they hate their jobs.
Whenever I ask for soymilk a few of the staff stare at us like we’re doing something wrong… It’s just a weird feeling. On top of that my coffee seems to often taste burnt. Definitely not up to par with other starbucks!

When I compare my experiences at Starbucks, I’m always comparing other locations to the service and product I get at this location.
I love this location, the staff are friendly, kept clean even when super busy, and they know how to make a wicked London Fog (Secret is English Breakfast tea and not Earl Grey).

Best Starbucks in Ottawa! I have never had a bad service from this store and not even from any of the other Starbucks locations! The employees are very friendly and always smiling. It’s nice that you even get a little conversation with the barista to have while you are waiting. The Starbucks card is just amazing too! I have it on my iPhone and it’s much more convenient while earning stars at the same time. The seating is well organised and not too crowded. It’s a good location of you are a student looking to do some work. Food is always fresh and there is now a wider variety thanks to La Boulange! Even if you are a looking for mugs and tumblers they have a wide selection too. I go to many Starbucks around town but nothing matches this one.

Now this breaks my heart, because I love Starbucks.
I used to live in this area, and I would frequent this location quite often. At the time, the service was great! No complaints. But since I’ve moved out of town, I’ve been here a handful of times, and now it seems kind of touch and go.
A few visits ago, I was served by a half awake barista and the service was so awful that I contacted corporate. Today, my order was almost forgotten about. I am giving four stars because I know everyone has bad days, and I know that aside from a couple bad experiences, I’ve had a good time here.

As everyone else has already mentioned, the staff are what put this Starbucks a cut above the rest. Every single time I come in they are high spirited, friendly and entertaining. My favourite thing about this place is the drive-​through option which is great (even when I give them annoying instructions, they always get my drink right).
Yes, it’s a chain, but I still love Starbucks, especially this time of year. PSL… heck yes! Also, I love their Hazelnut Macchiato… try it!

this Starbucks is a Starbucks so you know roughly what to expect, however I adore this location because of their staff. my mom is one of those women who takes 2 minutes to give her drink order as its loaded with customizations, I typically am embarrassed to go in with her to star bucks, as at other locations throughout the province the staff sometimes seem annoyed. not here. the employees are always happy to take her long order and if it’s done wrong they fix it up for her immediately. always a pleasant experience

Always find the staff very friendly and coffee great. Prices are the normal over inflated prices you’d expect.
