We would visit this restaurant about 10 times a year. Dropped in this weekend first time for 2015. Lots of variety and food was really fresh. The only problem was the atmosphere it has changed… seemed cold. Would try again because of the food hopefully the atmosphere will be better next time or we look for another restaurant.

Wife & I visit often and enjoy the food very much. Wife is Chinese and we are accustom to eating real Chinese food. Although its not«technically» real, they do have many dishes that are. The Staff(English) are always very friendly and the staff(Chinese) are also nice to talk with.

Dropped in here on the weekend. I was very pleased with the variety and quality of selections. The prices were very good for the lunch buffet, $ 11.95 per adult, and the selection was good. Everything I tried was very good. The chicken wings were delicious! I like that they don’t over fill the selections so the food isn’t just sitting out there forever. The staff are constantly refilling the buffet with fresh food. This is a good sign in a buffet restaurant. The service was also very good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, their timing was very good with respect to checking in with us. Since my last few reviews have talked about the cleanliness of the bathroom(or lack thereof), I must say, this restaurant has the CLEANEST bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a public washroom! Yay!

The food was always hit or miss here but since they have reopened after the fire the food has been consistently good. We love the variety they have on the buffet and the kids love the chocolate fountain at the dessert bar. We found the prices about the same here as at other local chinese places. I recommend a making reservations(especially on the weekend) as this place can be quite busy.

Found the food lacked flavor. It almost all tasted the same. Generally clean but also a little pricey. Not my favorite Chinese restaurant but will do in a pinch.

This is the Annapolis Valley. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, you aren’t going to find it. But if you lower your expectations to decent, Canadian-inspired Asian food — you may be satisfied. After their recent renovation, Double Dragon has become the nicest and probably, the only Health Canada approved Chinese restaurant in the Valley. They have a large seating area, and can accomodate between 200 – 300 people. Mind you, on a weekend night, unless you have reservations, they probably won’t be able to accomodate you. They have a large buffet and most of their items are fairly fresh. The buffet is around $ 13/person, which is fairly standard as far as Chinese buffets go. I enjoy that you can watch the chefs cooking. And on the weekends, they pull out all the stops with a fondue machine. Nice place for a dinner buffet(with reservations), a date, or dinner with the family.

Though it is a bit on the pricey side, flavourful dishes, and a beautiful and very large dining area make this restaurant worth visiting. I would go so far as to say that it’s the best chinese food I’ve had in the Valley. The fried rice is especially good, just the right consistency(not too soggy, not too dry). Based on the space alone, this would be a great place to go with a group or hold a function. However, I would say it also provides a cosy enough atmosphere to be enjoyable for smaller groups or couples.
